Re: NAMM 2015: DP9
Absolute Grid Snapping is actually just grid snapping period. For years I was confused why I couldn't get things to snap to a grid. There's this box to turn on grid snapping and the Command key to drag free of the grid. So why doesn't it actually work? I started hearing Logic users use the term &qu...

Re: FXpansion Dcam Synth Squad $99 sale
wow. i say buy this, for sure. that is a deal for this synth package. the only thing i would say is that to get the best out of it, u really gotta be willing to get into the details sometimes. personally, i love it. the only other soft synth maker that i love is u-he. who just released a new one cal...

Re: DP and VCC
definitely not for me. i'm using VCC 1.5.2 and DP7.23 on a Mac Pro 2x2.26ghz quad core xeon, 8gb memory.
i know u said that it worked fine in Logic and that the CPU was quite low, but is your oversampling cranked up for real time rendering? i don't oversample at all in real time, only offline.

Re: Anyone get this issue with Nomad Factory plugs?
i've had this problem and it's driven me crazy. not with Nomad, but with UAD, i think. i'd see the plug's name but i couldn't open it to mess with the settings. then other instances of the plug would be working fine. haha. it's really good to find out exactly why this was happening, i've seriously s...

also the the one last 'wouldn't it be nice' thing i can think of is the way DP handles latency on busses. i don't have a grasp on it yet, i've read the big threads on it here and i'm not really satisfied that it makes sense. it seems like sometimes i get a problem and other times i don't. and that s...

this is a confusing one for me, i've read this thread before and i'm not doubting the situation on your end, but i've never noticed this to happen. and it seems like the kind of thing that would be really noticeable. it seems like there are other factors that are coming into play. which doesn't make...

Re: Track Selectors in Mixer and Sequence
i think i confused this by how i posted. my problems not with selecting or deselecting at all but with what tracks show in my mixing board and in my sequence editor window. or maybe i'm using the word 'selecting' wrong. what i mean is that if i've got 10 tracks. i can have all 10 show in my sequence...

i forgot, also, it would be really nice if there was a keyboard shortcut to get to hardware setup. i end up changing this a lot more than i used to, now that i've been using VI's.

Track Selectors in Mixer and Sequence
I've been having trouble figuring out how to make it so that the tracks selected to show in my unconsolidated Mixer Window are the same as those selected to show in my consolidated Sequence Window. I've read the manual in a lot of places and can't find any true option to sync the two together. i hav...

this is a pretty minor one, but it'd be nice if we could set a default folder for bounced file destination. i never store these in the project folder so have to change it every time i open a project up. it's not that big of a deal, like i said, but it seems like there should be an easy way to includ...

Re: UAD Lexicon 224 alternatives
yes, that is true. but i don't think the original poster was asking for anyone to tell them what to do. it would actually be strange to imagine a person basing their decisions on what a group of people that they've never met say in passing on the internet. i would kinda be insulted if someone presu...

Re: UAD Lexicon 224 alternatives
Guys, we're living in a time where we have to let our ears judge whether or not the value is there. It's tough, I know. We have to know what we're after to make value decisions. yes, that is true. but i don't think the original poster was asking for anyone to tell them what to do. it would actually...

Re: Slate Digital VCC Available Now w/ Free iLOK2 This Week
regarding the GUI issues, i get the same white screen but i am able to re-open the plug after i close this blank window. at this point, the groups seem functional. i also have the problem with the plug stealing the keyboard tho. their FGX limiter does the same thing, but i haven't actually checked f...

Re: Preparing DP Mixes for Mastering
definitely real time for me. i only use bounce to disk for quick checks, running to the car. it's true (as said above) that u end up listening to the entire bounce anyways. u know exactly what u got with real time. i haven't done scientific tests, actually my tests have always been scattered and a l...
