wow. i say buy this, for sure. that is a deal for this synth package.
the only thing i would say is that to get the best out of it, u really gotta be willing to get into the details sometimes.
personally, i love it. the only other soft synth maker that i love is u-he. who just released a new one called Diva. u can demo til January, but i haven't had mush time messing around with it yet.
i think overall tho, most people would be happier with D-Cam, it depends on what u are aiming for.
i also use FXpansion's drum machine, Geist with Goldbaby kits. FXpansion are straight cats.
i don't know what your aesthetics are, so post back if u want more details about the software. i might not be the best judge, cuz i don't do much electonic music. i don't sequence or do MIDI, i use the soft synth just like i would a regular keyboard, but might be able to help u decide.

For some reason, I didn't get an email about this offer.
I'm slightly curious due to all the rave reviews, but the GUI's are painful to my eyes, so I suspect I would never get past the presets. They remind me of some of the freebies from the early 2000's, or even OS 9.

FXpansion Dcam Synth Squad $99 sale
I ordered from AudioMidi on Sunday, still waiting......
Yes the new AM website is horrible, because it does not work, paypal problems etc....
I ordered
D-cam From AudioMidi on Sunday:
paid with paypal, no problem- go to AM it said cancelled, the next morning AM has reprocessed the order......and it says electronic delivery, after no dl link 24hours later try to call or leave message :
Can't get thru for several hours......finally last night I get a live voice @ AM.
Rep says order was cancelled because of no payment,I pointed out that I payed with paypal, after another few minutes the rep finds the payment and tells me it will be processed and I will have the dl link with in 1hour!
20 minutes later he calls me to explain D-cam is sold out ,they are actually selling the boxed version and will ship it in 1 or 2 days when they get it.
So the vendor doesn't know the form of the product or the site has it wrong, all I can do is wait now a few days and see if it comes.I could have purchased direct dl from XPansion but now I am waiting to see if AM gets it together but as a way to get users to reregister on the *NEW* AMidi site they are giving a $15 discount for purchases(code: AM15)
so when & if I get D-Cam it will be the boxed version+free shipping= $84 lol , I guess waiting a few days will be OK for a good deal.
I think the response from these sales has overwhelmed the marketplace, lol.

Re: FXpansion Dcam Synth Squad $99 sale
Damn! I hear you there. I keep buying stuff. Waves keep sending me "vouchers" for $100, but when I apply them to a sale item, I get a message saying "this exceeds the maximum discount…" yadda yadda. So, I don't get the full voucher's worth, and using it once is all you get, even if they don't give you the full value of it. So, I end up paying $75 of a $100 voucher, but I say "ahhh… what's the difference," then I go ahead and buy. Then they send another voucher, rinse repeat. Going back to the first big deal, back in June of this year, I've bought $3200 worth of Waves plugins (in addition to the Platinum Bundle and L3 Multimaximizer that I already owned), but I only paid $530 for the whole lot of them. They are better plugins than what I've got in the Platinum bundle, for the most part. Still, it makes me feel like an addict or something to keep buying more of these things, but at these prices it's hard to stop.toodamnhip wrote:I bought it, thanks guys...

PS: But I've stopped. Really. In fact, I stopped for a while after each one! Ok, ok, is there a 12 step program for Plugins Anonymous? Is there a plugin for that?

Step 1 of plug ins anonymous, admit there is a higher power....Shooshie wrote:Damn! I hear you there. I keep buying stuff. That would be the next generation Intel Mac, 25 core right?...lol...
I too had the platinum bundle and bought tons off added plugs. If ever I update to Mercury, I will end up giving the bastards back all my saving by buying stuff twice..won’t I?..lol...
There should be some sort of credit thingy that gives a user the upgrade deal MINUS the pro rated value of any plug in that user has purchased as a one-off.
Makes sense doesn;t it? And that is exactly why it will never happen.
This Dcam synth has cost me yet another night;s work playing with it, It’s really cool.
Last night, I bought tons of expansion packs for stylus and Kontakt..I must get some work done somehow..lol...
