Does any one else experience clicks and pops with the "All Strings sus" and "All Strings sus light" patch when playing and holding notes: C#5, D5, D#5? (C3 being middle C). I tried re-installing and I still get my pops. I think it is in the sample.

New Pop/Jazz CD all done in DP
Hey All, My latest instrumental project was tracked and mixed all in DP 5. I am now a 7.21 user but I maxed out my poor old G5 and DP 5.13 in this project. You can listen to any track here on this site: http://saltaire.bandcamp.com/ Other notes: Main Console: Tascam DM-3200 w/FW MkII card Plug-Ins: ...

Re: DP7.1 - Record Enable Next/Previous w/Arrow?
I'm considering sticky-fying this thread for a while. It's really important information, considering how many of us naturally reach for the arrow keys to change the record enable. Now, with the current command defaults, if you have anything selected in a track, you're going to transpose it if you d...

Re: After trying everything, 7.1 is still a nightmare (for me)
We have 3 DP 7.1 systems on 2 x 8 cores and 1 x 4 core Mac Pro and they are all fraught with problems. Crashes all the time. These are BIG projects though with a lot of tracks but it is very very frustrating. It does feel like the end of the line to be frank. 3 out of 4 colleagues in LA who use DP ...

Re: After trying everything, 7.1 is still a nightmare (for me)
James... you are, of course, exactly right. I have read many who are thrilled and working in 7.1 with little to no problems. Hopefully I will be one of them soon. I appreciated your suggestion and in the couple projects I did load from an older session it did rebuild the wave forms displays and such...

After trying everything, 7.1 is still a nightmare (for me)
Ok so I made the leap from a relatively stable 5.13 that I used for the past couple years straight into 7.02 and was incredibly happy!! Took me a little while to find where they had moved some things, but over all I was thrilled with the new look, features, and performance AND stability. Two months ...

BURN AUDIO CD Error and crash
I am getting a burn error when using the bounce to disk burn audio cd feature: When I burn a CD I get an error just at the completion of the burn. I have tried using both Markers as indexing and Soundbites. have tried this in several different projects from simple (2 tracks, 10 minutes) to large (40...

Re: Spinning Beach ball of death on "Stop" DP5.13
Yep, turned off the pre-fill buffer. I will try and lower buffer but can't go to low as lots of plug's going on in my mix phase. I can probably get away with 512. Still had it crash on me 5 times on Saturday. Ugh

Re: Tascam IF-FW/DM-3200 with DP working?
I have been using it successfully since the introduction of the IF-FW/DM with the 3200. And have been mixing back through the DM with all 32 channels and finding my mixes so much for transparent and full. If I have one suggestion for MOTU it is to rewrite their summing algorithm because ever since I...

Spinning Beach ball of death on "Stop" DP5.13
Ok, so I am plagued by this reoccurring thing. I am listening, everything is playing back as it should, 20-30 % CPU usage, then I press stop... it stops... the play indicator in the transport stays on and I get the spinning wheel of death. I let it go for an hour once to see if it would come out of ...

Thanks for the comments. After reading your posts, and doing some more research it seems that the OMF protocol only supports one active take or playlist per track. The AAF option doesn't support this either. It sure would be a great feature to implement in an upgrade to digitranslator as DP does sup...

From DP to OMF to ProTools.. Multiple takes to Playlists
Ok, so I have 6 songs I need to Port over to ProTools TONIGHT. I have DigiTranslator 2.0 and every thing is working fine EXPECT: While DP does export the multiple take audio files, Take 1, Take 2 etc., on the same audio track, when ProTools reads the OMF file, it only sees the top most audio file, o...

Unseen MIDI controls being sent on play
Ok, Maybe some one can give me a definative answer to this quandry. Many times, when I press play, DP sends some kind of MIDI control that mono's the panning on my Alesis QS8.1. I have disabled all MIDI automation, and even all automation in my bug hunt. In some projects it doesn't do it, in others,...

Dave, that's exactly what I did.. only I shut off the motu audio system, and loaded it into another new project. After about 30 minutes, it had loaded. I then flushed the history, deleted unused soundbites and wha-la... a nice 164 KB file. :D I'll be sure to watch my file sizes on saves from now on....

BTT - bloated file size.
Ok, I have read about those of you who also suffered from a huge DP file, and I know what to do once I get back into it. My problem is that I didn't discover the huge file until after I close out of the project and now DP just hangs, with the spinning rainbow, when I try to open the file back up. Th...
