Re: Track Columns Question
I wish I had the answer since I've tried to figure this one out since I too would really like to ungroup certain track columns. I look forward to an answer.Frodo wrote:Is there any way to ungroup certain track columns in the TO such as REC/MON/INPUT or PLAY/XMPT/OUTPUT?

Seriously, just highlight the longest soundbyte, hit shift, and click the other soundbytes. Not the first one's length encompasses all of them., and they will remained grouped as long as you hold shift while you edit in one of them. I do this all of the time and it's never bothered me, across many ...

If the tracks are grouped, there shouldn't be any exceptions. Well there should, but the exceptions should be user defined prefs. I simply want to edit across a few tracks with the scissor tool. If I highlight one in the group should not the rest of the group be highlit? It seems a simple task and ...

Maybe you have a corrupt preferences file or something else that needs troubleshooting - you might want to contact MOTU about this. (Or try deleting the Preferences file in the folder (User name)->Library->Preferences->Digital Performer and restart DP.) Well that's interesting. This may be the prob...

I've tried checking off 'edit' as well as 'edit and mix'. Gearboy's latest comment suggests however that perhaps what I'm trying to do can't done in DP. Is that true folks? In Pro Tools this is a simple function and yes, Gearboy, the way you edit across multiple tracks is the way I have been working...

Thanks GearBoy and Bob. I've examined both suggestions however I'm still not getting anywhere. Essentially if I have two tracks--call them guitar and bass and I'd like to do some editing on those two tracks as a group I should be able to group them and edit them together. So, I've done the grouping ...

grouping tacks to edit
I'm having difficulty grouping tracks in order to edit in the sequence editor.
When I get to the sequence editor and select a track in the group, which I assume should then select the rest of the tracks in the group only the track I select is hilighted.
Am I doing something wrong here?
cheers

RME Fireface 800
Hey Folks This goes out to RME Fireface 800 users out there. The RME user group is pretty minimal at present and I admit I am having a hard time making sense of the manual or the whole Total Mix layout. One issue I haven't been able to solve is using the number 1 Instrument input on the front. Whene...

Re: converting DVD to quicktime movies
I just tell them that DVD is an unacceptable delivery format and that I expect a Quicktime file (burnt in timcode yada yada..). It generally gets results, quickly. I refuse to waste time having to do all the messing around with pulling stuff off a DVD. That is what I usually do but in this case the...
