I use markers for scoring placement - 'hit this exciting moment' etc. But I want another layer of markers (or just labels I can see during playback) for section labels, or chords or similar, without losing my original scoring placement data.
How are people accomplishing this?

Re: Bouncing to Disk
10.1 seems to fix it for me. Thanks!

Re: Bouncing to Disk
I'm using 10.0
Mac Pro 5,1 64 gigs ram.
If I can hear it in the Master fader, shouldn't it bounce if the output selection is the same? I seem t have the same problem if I use a bus to an audio channel or an Aux.
thanks.

Bouncing to Disk
I find if I use a bus, it sometime doesn't bounce. I have to record the sub-mix to get it into the bounce. That seems so basic that I must be doing something wrong. And is a huge time suck to check my bounces for every little detail - I've already done that in the mix process. Large track counts are...

Re: Block specific MIDI device
Aha! Ok, a quirky workaround. I made a Console that captures the device's offending CC and dumps it nowhere - blocking it. Then using MAX or MIDI Pipe I reassigned the original CC to the new value I want. So DP never sees the unwanted CC#'s value. Great. Thanks for the help.

Re: Block specific MIDI device
Thanks for this. MIDI Pipe doesn't seem to block the device from DP so I end up with two CC values getting recorded instead of just a remapped CC. I've tried every setting I believe. I'm happy to use multirecord when I want to use one controller for one channel. But I have several controllers and I ...

Block specific MIDI device
Is there a way to block a specific MIDI device? I've tried to do this in Bundles but it didn't seem to be the feature I need. I want to block a specific MIDI controller from DP but still be able to use that device with other apps. I want this globally, all the time and I don't want to have to fuss a...

Re: MIDI Key Binding Commands
Yeah - great - that worked. Thanks. It seems one of my controllers spits out a ton of junk that confuses the commands.

MIDI Key Binding Commands
I can't get MIDI key bindings to work. I can enter the binding via my MIDI controller (button X sends CC #55 at value 0 for fast fwd or whatever) but it never responds after that. It never performs the function. I can get qwerty keyboard commands to work just fine. What am I missing?

Shortcut Key not working
I use Kontakt as my primary sampler. I constantly want to add Kontakt VIs. I don't want to 'Add Instruments With Options' - I want a shortcut key to just add a VI track with a Kontakt instance loaded. There is no DP command for adding a specific VI as far as I can tell. I set an OS hotkey in System ...

Re: Custom Console
Well, using a dummy patch in my MIDI interface (channel 8 in and out connected to each other) I can get it to work by assigning that 'dummy' device to be the recipient. Fairly inelegant but it works.

Re: Custom Console
Yes, good suggestion. But then I need to do that for ever track and I have hundreds in the template.

Custom Console
I'm struggling with Custom Consoles. I have a MIDI fader box. I want to remap its faders from fixed values to the values I want. For example, fader 1 sends CC64 and I want it to send CC1. I can easily remap this to a specific device or MIDI track, but I just want it to do this generically, for all t...

Re: Large Template Sluggish
I took a while but I got Vienna Ensemble running and it works very well on my system. I can get a 30+ gig template sitting crash free for weeks at a time without a restart. Good stuff. I have a new set of problems. 1. With a large template in DP, a couple hundred tracks, the screen scrolling is slug...
