Shortcut Key not working

Post by eoinrussell »

I use Kontakt as my primary sampler. I constantly want to add Kontakt VIs. I don't want to 'Add Instruments With Options' - I want a shortcut key to just add a VI track with a Kontakt instance loaded.

There is no DP command for adding a specific VI as far as I can tell.

I set an OS hotkey in System Preferences/Keyboard. Selected DP and entered Add Track->Instrument Track->Native Instruments->Kontakt 5 (stereo) and set that to F13 (or any free key). It shows up in DP's menu, but does not work.

Any ideas how to do this?

Try Clippings. They're great for this.
However, depending on how you create them, they may not show the bundle assignment (which almost defeats their purpose). If you create them from your main template, and your project was derived from such template (!), the bundles will appear correctly.

You can also try loading VIs from chunks (previously prepared) from a template project.

This works like a charm! Thanks!

Is there a way to add a key command to the clipping?
