Bouncing to Disk

Post by eoinrussell »

I find if I use a bus, it sometime doesn't bounce. I have to record the sub-mix to get it into the bounce. That seems so basic that I must be doing something wrong. And is a huge time suck to check my bounces for every little detail - I've already done that in the mix process.

Large track counts are already tough to manage but having sub-mixes and then muted tracks only adds to the headache, especially months later.

What's the technique people use here?

I bounce through buses literally every day and I've never had a problem in many many years. I'm still on DP 9.52
It's helpful to list your system specs in your signature. Short of that, I'd suggest at least specifying what DP version you're using if you want help here.

I'm using 10.0
Mac Pro 5,1 64 gigs ram.

If I can hear it in the Master fader, shouldn't it bounce if the output selection is the same? I seem t have the same problem if I use a bus to an audio channel or an Aux.

thanks.

There were a lot of fixes in 10.01. You might want to check it out.
