Re: Scarbee's Summer Sale July 27-31 !!

Just wanted to add that I have the Blue bass which is the best I've used. It will cut through a track that is dense, especially thru IK bass plug. Also have Orange Tree Jaco Iconic bass which is fantastic...best fretless I've found and believe me I've been searching. Also Orange tree is extremely he...

Re: 5.13 Crashing

Hi,

I had a similar problem and the solution was to run waves plug-ins in "only run in real time" . that solved it after 3 months of investigations and frustrations. Haven't had another crash like that since. Try it.

Re: Spinning Beach ball of death on "Stop" DP5.13

I found that the cause was definitely Waves plug=ins... I went from tiger to leopard also to a mac pro from G5 and did not upgrade to waves 6. Had no problem in Tiger. I tried removing every plug-in one at a time because I knew the problem was with a plug-in based on help from Magic Dave but the wa...

Re: Spinning Beach ball of death on "Stop" DP5.13

I had the stop-beachball problem for a long time and tried everything....
Eventually I found that the cause was definitely Waves plug=ins...each one needs to be set to "always run in real time"
That immediately ended the problem and it hasn't occurred since. Good Luck.

Sorry to go on about the "beatleness" of the brilliance plug-in but I suppose that is the frame of reference that I used to evaluate it. I've used it on instruments that needed aa boost and couldn't get it with any eq plugs I own so that's why it works for me. We could discuss the pros and...

I noticed you're running UADs. I have "Limit CPU Load" checked and the limit set to 99% in the UAD meter application. Somewhere along the line I discovered that this prevented CPU overloads in DP. I can't say for sure that it's your problem, but it's worth a try. 6 Gigs of RAM is working ...

kassonica, Thanks. I hope 6 meg is enough. Too little do you think? willheim, Thanks. I would have shut it off but it shut me off first. The meter was peaking. I've still got some problems with the plkayback but it's getting manageeble, not too bad since I've only had this running for a day or so. L...

Problem turned out to be running firewire to drive over too great a distance and repeater. Moved firewire drive to computer and program runs like a dream.

I have had the Brilliance plugin for a couple of weeks. It worked flawlessly in DP 4.61 but I'm having a problem installing it into 5.13. The plugin is great in my opiniion. You can get an edge to things in a really pleasing way, not grating on the ears. In "recording the Beatles" there wa...

Mac Pro srtuggling with playback..Any suggestions?

Hi, Any help would be appreciated. Setting up a new MAc Pro Quad, 6 meg ram, running DP 5.13 Waves Diamond and 2 UAD-1e cards (both running well) When I play files that originated in my Mac G5 2.7 in DP 4.61 they overload playback although they do better on the G5. Message I get is "Audio playb...

Two Computer Set-up Will this work?

Hi, About to receive Mac Pro Quad and am planning the following set-up as expansion from my current G5 4.61 set-up. I've got a major project in 4.61 and I can't risk too many lost plug-ins or files for that matter. Any replies or suggestions would be most appreciated. I've found some threads here wh...

Speaking of Ringo's birthday. He was on Larry King who mentioned his age about ten times. Finally Ringo says " something like how many times are you gonna mentionin my ageu? How old are you about a hundred and two? " I love it when someone has no fear and speaks his mind. Beatles need fear...

Hi Zed, I got the abbey road limiter at highprofileaudio.com. He had a decent discount at the time. Maybe he still is discounting it. It's my favorite compressor/limiter for voice and drums. He wrote to me that the brilliance pack will only be sold from Abbey Road for the time being. As for the Ring...

I don't know if this has been discussed in the pervious 95 pages but I have had great enjoyment from abbey roads limiter plug-in. To my ears it is the closet to true Beatle squashdom. I've also had a brief time with the brilliance plug-in and it seems to be able to do some sweet things to the high e...
