Re: DP11 is here!

anyone know if the boxed version, when it becomes available, will include a printed manual? I upgraded to DP11 today (download) and called them to ask the same question. They told me that the only printed manual that would become available would be a 200-page "How to get set up and started sor...

MOTU Instruments soundbank files stored on separate drive?

Do the MOTU Instruments soundbank files need to be stored on the (Mac) system drive, or is it possible to store them on a remote drive?

I don't recall getting or updating the firmware on the MTPAV... I guess the best thing will be to just try the MTPAV first. If _I_ can hear a degraded difference in the sound between the internally clocked Digi 192 and the externally provided clock from the MTPAV... I can always pop for the Sync I/O...

Thanks for your reply Ron!

My questions have more to do with the quality of the word clock in the MTPAV and if/how that will effect the sound of my music.

Any additional input on that question...?

Thanks,

Clock PT w/MTPAV for Pull Up/Down????

I will be receiving some video/audio material from a client for which I am to provide an underscore. They are using the Digidesign Sync I/O to clock their PT system which will be the source of the material they send to me for my work. They tell me I will need to be able to do pull up or down of fram...

Re: anybody else has this problem?

Well now, you see? We agree. This is a free BB. And I'm laugin' my ass off at you... It IS definitely funny to me. Ahwah ha ha! Does anyone else think that a person who can't type indicates a person who also has trouble with MIDI? Discuss? Oh wait... I bet you're just too cool for punctuation. Man! ...

Re: anybody else has this problem?

My post was meant to be somewhat funny and somewhat rude. I was not aware that you have some actual brain malfunction that prevents you from not sucking at MIDI. But since you do, I guess I should feel bad about needling the infirm. The tone of this group is always so helpful and nice... I like to a...

Yeah man. Put down the heroine.

Make your brain work like you want it to work.

It's your brain... am I right? Not something you borrowed from the Bride of Frankenstein...?

Re: Seperation of music and lyrics for remixing purposes.

The best is to track down the multi-track masters or same-session instrumental mixes from the original recording... Of course, that would require a certain amount of cooperation from the original artists... But if there's going to be a co-publishing deal on a new record, folks seem more interested i...
