Post by Chris Hawkins »

Dear UnicorNation Forum Members,

We would like to take a second out of your usual postings to announce that SWA Video is now looking for applicants to author ••˜SWA Complete ••“ Digital Performer••™ video tutorial for our growing catalog.

The video should cover the basics of setting up Digital Performer as well covering the usage of the common features and functions, the sequencer and some nifty semi-advanced tricks etc.

If you think that you have the ••˜right stuff••™ and feel confident with your knowledge of the program and that you can demonstrate that knowledge in video please contact us at c.hawkins@streamworksaudio.com with the subject of ••˜Complete Digital Performer Applicant••™

Thanks, and now back to your regularly scheduled forum posting.

There is also a full stop missing from the end of this paragraph:

Chris Hawkins is probably thinking, 'I was only posting an ad, I didn't expect a Spanish Inquisition'

Good luck with the search. If I wasn't busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest I'd apply.

Can we camp it up?

"OOH look, and here's where we click to choose a colour for the track - click - ooh look there they all are - ooh aren't they pretty, what d'you think - that one? or that one? oh I don't know, it's a bass track so why don't we go for somthing that will really accentuate those low tones and rich subharmonics - a nice velvity purple - click - ooh now that looks lovely, it really works for me and doesn't it contrast well with the yellow electric guitar tracks that we create in the last tutorial! - well that's all for this lesson. In the next tutorial we're going to be looking at how to decorate your layout with carefully placed spectral analysis plug ins and also how choosing the right name for a project can make YOU feel good about yourself - byeee"

Dammitt! Yellow sounds better on Bass!

Sometimes I have to wonder about y'all.

Purple is the key to intelligullible vocals.

Red gives drums more punch; think Kool Aid.

Pink is best for female BVOX unless it's during ovulation time and then cyan tends to add a certain cleanliness.

Also burying the Mac in the permafrost makes the beat detective work smoother.

I can't beleive these secrets are now "out there."
