Re: Open Mach Five 2 projects with Mach Five 3
Ty for your replies guys! I confirm, MachFive 3 opens with no problems any kind of MachFive 2 files (patch & multi). Anyway, after a long search into my furnitures, I luckily found my old installer DVDs of MachFive 2.02 (thanks to my habit of not throwing anything, despite my wife's desires :) )...

Open Mach Five 2 projects with Mach Five 3
Dear MOTU friends, I looked for an answer in the forum but it seems there is any (anyway 23854 topics are a great number to look into ;) ) . I'm sorry if it has been already answered, in that case could you point me to the correct thread? I do need to open with DP9 and Mach Five 3 some old DP projec...

Re: Avid HDX as Audio Hardware in DP 8.6
I found a temporary solution: :) 1) Open first Avid CoreAudio Manager and let it opened in background 2) Run DP 8.6 and then choose HDX as Hardware Driver 3) DP now works with no problems at 64 or 32 bits as needed 4) I always have to open first CoreAudio Manager and then DP Anyway, any definitive s...

Avid HDX as Audio Hardware in DP 8.6
Dear friends I've searched in the forum but I didn't find any answer. I do need to use the HDX hardware with DP 8.6 via Core Audio but I can't (like I instead previously and daily did with DP7.24 and PT HD Accel with no problems at all). I can select the HDX Card as Audio Driver and clock source, bu...

Opening standard MIDI files crashes DP 7.12 (!?)
It looks weird but I can't open any MIDI files in DP 7.12 any more. DP crashes each time I try to open a simple standard MIDI files: - I open a MIDI file - the "rainbow wheel" appears - BOOM! DP crashes!! I have the crash log but it's long and I don't want to waste the forum space (let me ...

VST in DP 7.12
I have to run some VST virtual instruments in DP 7.12.
Have I to use some wrapper plug-in or what?
Could you suggest the best - and cheaper
- way to run the VST plug-ins in DP 7?
TIA,
Ale

Re: MIDI input latency problem
Thanks for the advice but my latency problem seems to be a "simple" Buffer Size related issue. I've tried different sizes and setting the Buffer Size at 128 the "input" latency is acceptable - at 64 it is wonderful - (as stated in the DP7 Getting Started Guide page 19, too): now ...

MIDI input latency problem
I have a very big latency problem with DP7.11 and all the Virtual Instruments I own (all the DP "core" Virtuals, MachFive2 and NI Komplete6 stuff). Each time I play a note or something, both on the master keyboard and MIDI guitar, the notes I'm playing sound very late in time! If I record ...

SoundDesigner I "nightmare"
I have to open/manage some very very very old SoundDesigner I mono files of mine into DP and PT but I can't. I've tried with DP7, PT8, QT7, SoundHack but none of them are able to open SDI files. MacOs recognizes them as "SoundDesigner" files, showing a "SD I" icon, and points the...

Samplecell: Mach5 and/or Kontakt4
I've been a Samplecell user for a long time and I've done several SC instruments by myself with my own samples (SD2 and AIFF files with loops, etc.), but after the big jump to OSX I haven't used Samplecell any more (thanks Digi!?! :( ) I have now to "exhume" an old work of mine with lot of...

Re: Digi ends support DP in DAE mode
Ciao tripit,
I'm very glad to read that, thank you!!
I have just downloaded both PT8.0.3 and DP7.1 and I'm going to update my DP/DAE combo.
I hope I'll be able to join you in the dance and shaking my butt, too.

Re: Red lines after Adjust Beats?
Ciao Yawnstrosity, I'm happy my suggestion helped (the red lines are really annoying). I'm sorry but I stated a not so right thing about Soundbite tempo map: if the sound file does have a tempo map (i.e. recorded into another DP project) it carries its own map into the new project, otherwise it &quo...

Re: Red lines after Adjust Beats?
Have you tried "Copy sequence tempo to soundbite" to the rubato sound file after adjusting beats? When you import a Soundbite in a DP project it always maintains it's own original tempo map (even if there's no tempo map!). I think this could solve the annoying red lines issue. Hope this he...

From Mosaic to...?
During the last 12 years I've been using MOTU Mosaic as my notation app (I'm using now an old G4 MacOS9 bootable to switch to "Mosaic OS"). Since I'm finally going to update/upgrade my whole sw and hw stuff (DP7 included) I'm also going to lose my notation friend. Where am I going to go? -...
