Re: Trouble getting audio to my 2408 mkII
Hey there, I recently upgraded my whole setup with the 24IO and 2 2408 mkII's. We have one of the 2408's modded from Black Lion, and 2 regular mkII's. I'm running Mac Pro OS 10.6.8 with a Soundcraft 600 series 24 channel, 8 group and 16 channel summing console. My routing for the pcie card is 24IO ...

24io and 2408 MK3 configuration for PT10
I recently got a 2408 MK3 to augment my 24io set up. I’m running Protools 10. I’d like to be able to use both units in conjunction. I changed the name of the 2408 ins/outs to 2408-1, 2408-2 etc…but when I bring up the io setup in pro tools it does not see them as distinct so it sends the same signal...

Pro Tools 12 compatible with 24io?
Is PT12 (non HD) compatible with the MOTU 24io running on a PCI-e card?
Thanks,
Eddie

PCI-E card not syncing with protools
I hope this is the correct place to post this. So we had the power suddenly go out and during a session last night. It quickly came back on but now ProTools (10) won't recognize my 24io that I'm running with a PCI-E card. The 24io is fine, I was able to pull out my G5 with DP5 from storage that stil...

Can I duplicate a harddrive? OSX
I want to install a larger drive in my Mac G4 and keep all the same settings of the oiriginal, it has all of my programs, plugins, settings etc..I know in OS9 you could just copy your drive over but I don't think I can do that in OSX. So I basicly want to clone this drive into my replacement drive.....

Try setting the host bus multiplier to 2 and the work priority to low. That should help. The oldies use more power and generate more heat but there is no replacement for displacement, so to speak. How do I do this? I really don't know my way around OSX all that well yet, I started on a mac LCII run...

Re: Hard Drive Performance - What to get
I removed a lot of items that don't need to be there for recording. Like what? I know I have a ton of stuff in mine that I don't need but are there specific files etc..t hat I can get rid of also, i knew my way around OS 9 pretty well but I don't know OSX too well in terms of configuring things. An...

G4 upgrade not too noticable
I just upgraded my G4 2X450mhz to a 2X1.6ghz and I haven't noticed much of a difference when running DP 4.61 I have 1.25 ghz of RAM. Mainly what I hoped this would remedy was being able to adjust plugins in real time while DP was playing back but I notice when I bring up lets say the compressor i ge...

making soundbite edits into one file
How do I paste together all of the edits I've done to a soundbite so it is one continuous file instead of a bunch of seperate spliced bites? (in other words without any of those crossfade points etc.....)
Thanks.
Eddie
Thanks.
