Anything with coreaudio/proprietary drivers for OSX works with DP.
So yes.
I thought this would be obvious by now.

Eddie,

Is the FirePod is CoreAudio capable? If so, then you should be good to go. Check the config in the Audio/MIDI setup utility, and DP should be able to find it.

Oh yeah, just wanted to add some info fromMOTU's site....

No audio production software provides better support for Macintosh OS X Core Audio and Core MIDI services. Built from the ground up for Mac users, Digital Performer takes full advantage of sample-accurate MIDI Time Stamping, Core MIDI patch list support, Audio Unit plug-ins and virtual instruments, support for multiple Core Audio interface drivers and more.

Digital Performer has full support for Apple Core MIDI and Core Audio protocols, and includes patch lists and expansion bank support for most available synths. Digital Performer supports multiple Core Audio drivers the latest Apple Audio Unit standard for plug-ins and virtual instruments. Use any MIDI or audio interface supported by Apple OS X.

Lasik......
