24io and 2408 MK3 configuration for PT10

I recently got a 2408 MK3 to augment my 24io set up. I’m running Protools 10. I’d like to be able to use both units in conjunction. I changed the name of the 2408 ins/outs to 2408-1, 2408-2 etc…but when I bring up the io setup in pro tools it does not see them as distinct so it sends the same signal to the first 8 outputs of both units ie. kick drum on Analog-1 goes to both Analog-1 outputs of the 2408 and 24io simultaneously.

I'd like to have the 24io be the first 24 ins/outs and then the 2408 be 25-32.

Any help with getting this set up would be appreciated.
