Re: DP8 Clear Movie work around

The key may be the activation of the consolidated window in the first place. I have lost ALL windows and had to relaunch when I disabled the consolidated window. The key commands seemed to take but no windows appeared. NONE. Activating the consolidated window brought that back, but resetting the pr...

Mine was crashing both in Consolidated and also when torn off. The MOTU tech guys are all over it. They're very cool.

DP8 Clear Movie work around

The Clear Movie function in DP8 is a known bug. Here's the work around: In Sequence Editor, select the movie. (You may need to click the Show/Hide Track Selector down in the lower left.) To the left of the track you'll see the Set Movie and Clear Movie buttons. Hit Clear Movie and the movie goes awa...

Re: Those who got DP8.. please let us know.

Got mine today. Having a problem importing a movie. Anyone else? I get audio, no picture, and when I start poking around DP8 hangs. Movie imports just fine in DP7, so I must be missing something here...

Re: Two computers and VI's?

I was in exactly the same place a few months ago. It seems my 8 core can easily handle all the VIs I need. I'll keep the G5 a while longer as a backup in case the 8 core fails, but the Mac pro has been just fine all by itself. MLC: Thanks for responding. I thought the 8-core would suffice, but I'm ...

Two computers and VI's?

Hi. Looking for some tech advice. Just got an 8-core MacPro and retired my dual core (non-Intel) G5. Before I eBay my old computer I thought that maybe there'd be a way to link the 2 machines to help power my VI scene. Anyone? Thanks.

Re: Something to watch white waiting for DP6

This may be old hat to many of you, but it is just about the most talented link click I've ever seen: http://www.guilherme.tv/tyger/ If you've seen it before it is worth another look. Personally, I can't get enough. Hadn't seen it before. It's stunning. Just passed the link on to everyone on my A l...

Dan

Dan was one of my best friends, going back to our college days in Illinois. Oddly, I was never so much a fan of his (recorded) music as I was of the man himself. And our zany jams that spanned 35 years. I miss him every day. It's the beginning of the decline of the Baby Boom. Soon, we'll need a new ...

Re: Shooshie

Donating a pint to the cause is de rigeur, but a hip--oh, that's a steep price. Prayers and kind thoughts make for good medicine, so mine are with you, my friend. I'll be thinking of you as I whoosh on. Yes, wings on the feet. I wish my overly caring friends could feel the freedom... En vitesse, Ell...

Re: DP 5.1 & USB Plugs (Ultra Focus) FIX!

Thanks. I was wondering why I was crashing with X-treme. Your tip is greatly appreciated. It worked like a charm, and I'm back being weird for a living. DON'T use the MAS Ultra-Focus, use the AU Or VST via VST Wrapper and it works fine. Yes indeed! I cleared out all Ultimate Soundbank MAS bundles, a...

Re: message from motu

When you folks mention MacBook, am I to infer that you mean MacBook Pro? Or are you actually finding that you can run DP5 on the MacBook (UnPro)?

[quote="paulold"]Here's a reply I got from Motu:
A Dual Core 2.0GHz MacBook with 2GB of RAM is more than adequate to run DP5 and an UltraLite...
