Shooshie

Post by Shooshie »

Hello Everyone,

This is Shooshie's son, and I wanted to let you all know that he is unable to read or write any messages on this forum at this time, and he may not return for a few days.

Yesterday, he and I were skating (inline) along a trail at a lake near our house, and he took a rather hard fall that landed him in the emergency room. He suffered a broken hip, and has undergone surgery. The doctor is very positive about the operation, so we are expecting him to heal up nicely.

For now, Shooshie remains in the hospital, but we hope to see him on crutches (and skates!) very soon.

Sincerely,

Shooshie's Son

Thanks, Son of Shooshie!!

Please send a special thought and good wish for a speedy recovery to your dad from Frodo.

This is indeed sad news, and I appreciate that you have let us know. I personally consider your dad a good friend, even though we have never (yet) met. He will be missed around here, but we look forward to his return.

Of course, once he begins to recover, we're going to rag him about inline skating at his age!!

Until then, my best wishes to him for a successful and complete healing.

Sincerely,
Frodo

Take care, Shooshie.

And Son o' Shooshie: Tell me your dad he doesn't have to call in sick to the 'Nation. We know and appreciate he has a real life outside of this site.

Get well soon Shooshie from Spikey Horse.

Seriously: A broken hip is no small injury (er ...obviously.....) BUT from a musician's point of view at least your arms/ wrists/ hands are OK. I broke my wrist a few months ago (was run over) and am still worried to death about my future as a musician.... aren't we all though?

Anyway, am sending you healing vibes through the internet!

Not so seriously: while still bedbound don't forget DP's new 'MIDI keys' feature for your laptop ... :) And if you 'don't have your manual with you in hospital' feel free to ask for help here  ( :D )
