Two computers and VI's?

Hi. Looking for some tech advice. Just got an 8-core MacPro and retired my dual core (non-Intel) G5. Before I eBay my old computer I thought that maybe there'd be a way to link the 2 machines to help power my VI scene. Anyone? Thanks.

I was in exactly the same place a few months ago. It seems my 8 core can easily handle all the VIs I need. I'll keep the G5 a while longer as a backup in case the 8 core fails, but the Mac pro has been just fine all by itself.

MLC: Thanks for responding. I thought the 8-core would suffice, but I'm still maxxing out my CPU. Would adding more RAM make a difference? I now have 16 Gb.

I'm using 12GB and it's fine but I'm not running more than about 30 tracks. You might also look at the threads about VE Pro and Plogue Bidule if it's a matter of VIs clogging the system. VE Pro will probably be needed anyway if you want to host the VIs externally.
