Re: Interface preamps
MOTU seems to keep things relatively uniform across their product line regardless of price. The MK3 products, for instance, use the same preamp circuit as the 8-Pre. I expect that we would find the same between the MK3 and newer devices. If you have to be absolutely certain, shoot them an e-mail. Ma...

Re: AC-7 iPhone app and Cuemix FX
Sorry for the Necro-post but I just realized this topic got a reply... I've actually had my MOTU hardware in a different studio with no WIFI so I haven't had the opportunity to test the Saitara software with Cuemix FX. There is a new release of AC-7 (the CORE version) which uses a different method o...

Re: How to resize Cuemix in Windows XP
The bottom right-hand corner has a darker triangle area; that's the only part of the window you can grab. Just to warn you, the window expand/contract is very limited (horizontal only).

Re: How to record signal with Motu without eq, compressor et
The quick answer is, "no." The insert effects are pre-send. That said, there are a few workarounds (do a search for other threads on this topic) including back patching and compressing/equalizing the outputs instead of the inputs.

Re: Ultralite MK3 noise
What kind of Firewire controller are you using? Is it Texas Instruments? Is the Firewire port onboard or a daughter (PCI/PCIx) card? If you're getting crackles and pops while you're not actually doing anything -it could be (computer) bus related. Since everything works okay on your Mac, my guess is ...

Re: I need help with my new Traveler mk3
Ivan, are you launching Cuemix or Cuemix FX?
The Cuemix FX window that pops up when I don't have my mk3 attached says "No MOTU audio devices attached" -it doesn't look like yours.

Dave, I noticed you're asking about another problem too... Are you using firewire or USB with your Ultralite Hybrid?

Re: MOTU Longevity & Hello
I have had my 896mk3 since May with no problems. It gets used at least once weekly in my studio and survived a few weeks of heavy location performance and recording during the summer. This was been with two different computers, too.
Sorry to hear about your luck of the draw...!

Re: Stay with MOTU 896 or Upgrade to 896 Mk III?
I am currently using my 896mk3 on two different laptops running XP SP3. One is a Sony Vaio and the other an HP nx workstation. They both work perfectly with the 896mk3 and current firmware/drivers. One key to this, I'm sure, is that they both use TI firewire chips as their controller. How soon do yo...

Sorry for the back-to-basics question but I want to be sure... "V-Limit" and "Soft Clip" are off, right?
