If you're sure all else is working (MIDI out from controller, software, etc.) it sounds like the traveler is broken. I have no experience with a traveler, but here's my $00.02 As Jarok said...make sure the traveler shows up in the AMS...if it does then do this test... open a track with recorded MIDI...

I agree that there should be some way to get MIDI in/out without a daw, especially when troubleshooting (which I've been doing a lot of lately). However, in your case, can't you just bypass the UL altogether? In other words, the MIDI out of your controller will be the same as the MIDI out of the UL ...

Just curious...what happens if you play a couple of notes on, say, the caps lock keyboard?

Hey Juan...welcome.... I'm using Logic 8 (not that familiar with Logic 7). In Logic, do you have an "external MIDI" track armed? If so, click the red "R" record enable button to turn it off, this should stop the constant flashing. Have you been able to record any MIDI in? If so, ...

I'm new to the Ultralite scene...I have an iMac...my UL audio works great...MIDI sucks...I've been struggling for weeks to get MIDI into an iMac.

I don't have a clue as to chipsets, etc.

At least now i know that logic can communicate through the ultra to the korg. And I saw the m!!! You've been extremely helpful!!! Therefor...
