Hi.
Quick background - I bought a new MBP, which thankfully had a TI firewire chipset. The Ultralite worked great but the internal soundcard headphone out was a total disgrace. After arguing with the Apple Reseller about how this was pretty crap in such an expensive computer I got a refund.
Now I'm thinking of buying an Imac. Which leads me to 2 questions:
1 - Do the iMacs still have the Agere chipset which has caused problems with RME and other interfaces?
2 - If they do still have Agere chipsets, does anybody know if the Ultralite works with them?
I've searched but can't find an answer.
Cheers

I have no idea what chipset I have, but I've got a Late 2007 Macbook Pro. I haven't used my Ulralite a ton with it, but I did about an hour of location recording with it and no problems.dazzer wrote:Cheers tele
Anyone else had any experience with Ultralite and Agere, in either new iMacs or Macbooks?
