Re: Machfive 3 (Windows) Sidebar browser irritation
A workaround for this problem if you don't need the Floppy drive is to disable it in Windows Device Manager, and I have now done this.

Machfive 3 (Windows) Sidebar browser irritation
Hi, Anybody else had the problems with the default folder being set to A: (floppy drive on my system - Yes ancient I know !) in Windows 7? This means that everytime the browse button is clicked at the top right of the Parts List window, Machfive whinges that no floppy disk is in the drive and I have...

Re: Having Mach Five 2 vst issue with windows 7 64 bit
This sounds like the problem I had with Windows 7, drove me demented ! It's a conflict with Internet Explorer 8 and the Ilok drivers believe it or not ! Read my solution in the Sonar forum :- http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2021227&mpage=1&print=true" onclick="window.open(this....

Re: Anybody using Machfive2 with Sonar 7
I find things much better using Sonar 8.5.3 and Windows 7,once you get past problems with the iLok drivers and IE8 that is.

Muting a slice
Hi all, I'm having problems using the slice machine editor in Machfive2. I want to mute a slice in one of the supplied library Hip Hop loops (089-Melody). My understanding is that I right click on the padlock at the start of the required slice and select mute. I get the cross symbol come up, but whe...

Vista64 Machfive2 and Sonar7 - hang saving proj.
Hi all, Has anybody else had problems with Sonar 7 and Machfive2 VST running on Vista64 hanging when you try to save the project you are working on? Anyone found a solution? This only ever happens if there are multiple MachFive2 presets, but not with all projects. I have latest versions of everythin...

Sonar includes some 64 bit DXIs. I have to run Machfive2 and a couple of other apps using Sonar's 64-32 bit VST bridge. I was a staunch XP user but overall I definately get better reliability under Vista 64 for my setup, personally I don't think Vista deserves a lot of it's criticism - except the co...

New system more stable
Since I migrated from XP to Vista 64, and upgraded my hardware to the current system, I have found Machfive2 much more stable.
Main disppointment is that it can not run as a 64 bit application

Machfive 2 on PC 64 bit support
Hi, Does anybody know if any of the Machfive 2 plugins can run in 64 bit mode under Vista 64 bit version. I'm sure the Standalone and DXI plugin can only run as a 32 bit process as it is installed in the X86 program files folder but i'm not sure about the others such as VST. The install program asks...

Anybody using Machfive2 with Sonar 7
Just wondered if anybody else is using Machfive2 with Sonar 7.
Do you have any problems with it ?
Please say if you are using XP or Vista, 32 bit or 64 bit.
I'm trying to establish if problems I'm having are unique to me or widespread.
Thanks

Some progress.
Turned out my Standalone problems were solved by installing the latest NVIDIA graphics drivers, the default XP driver for GEFORCE FX 5200 is a dud. So much for Microsoft certified drivers! The high CPU under Sonar is still happening; got Motu Tech Support looking at it at the moment as well as the d...
