setting up effect sends
Hi folks, simple question here on how best / most efficiently to set up effect sends. I usually have 7-10 sends in a project - reverb or two, delays, couple of special effects, etc (all software/VIs effects). I go through a tedious process of, for each one, adding an Aux track, inserting the effect ...

Basic question - Send vs. Insert
I need to conserve computing resources - my current project is nearing 100 % CPU capacity. I want to take about 10 inserts that are all using Camelspace and convert them to 1 effect bus with 10 sends. The problem is that some of the tracks are supposed to be 100 % wet so I zeroed the gain on the aud...

My new favorite of all time (in software arena, anyway): NI's Massive. I bought this 3 weeks ago. I have not had more than 5 hours of sleep any night since installing that demon seed on my iMac. I wake up at 6 and feel an unearthly, mystical pull of my body to my studio seat, as my arms' control is ...

haha! THANK YOU buzzsmith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of my Bounce settings were correct, just as you described they should be. I have tried a variety of different experiments, and I've learned some stuff about Bouncing in DP that may be of interest. Having reviewed many posts on this board a...

Important question about BTD and track settings
Hi, I am stumped! I just figured out (after a year of using DP) that if I play a project through to the end, and then say "OK, that's what I want" and bounce to disk, the BTD does not reset the automation settings for different tracks to the beginning of the project. I discovered this beca...

It will indeed record MIDI automation Gearboy, will MMonsta record automation from your screen/mouse, or just the MIDI controller? I don't have a controller (other than keyboard) and am trying, unsuccessfully, to record automation by mouse. It is not working, unlike my other VI s which do this fine.

I've been demo'ing the G-Force Minimonsta with DP (5.12). I cannot record automation data, i.e. such as hitting play and using the mouse to change filter frequency during playback. All of my other VI instruments do this, no problem. Is this a bug in Minimonsta? Anybody know? If Minimonsta cannot rec...

need a good synth VI...any suggestions?
Hi unicorns! I've been testing some VI synths - minimonsta, imposcar, Absynth (too complex and too expensive, though) etc. I need a VI synth with lots of creative control and great sound, but I can't make up my mind which one is best (or most cost effective). Since the advice is always so great here...

Hi James, yes, I have record and play automation enabled. DP is capturing pan, volume, and bypass. But it is not capturing knob tweaking on the synth plugin, like resonance, cutoff freq., etc. Just bypass, which isn't super helpful. I'll go examine the manual again. But all my settings look like the...

Record Automation for Plugins: I'm stuck
Hello, I'm totally stumped! I want to be able to tweak my plugin synth during track playback, and have DP capture ALL of the parameter changes. I set record automation to on, and hit play. So far, the only things I have been successful at automating are volume, pan, bypass. If I want to record a fil...
