Hello, I'm totally stumped! I want to be able to tweak my plugin synth during track playback, and have DP capture ALL of the parameter changes.
I set record automation to on, and hit play. So far, the only things I have been successful at automating are volume, pan, bypass. If I want to record a filter sweep, how do I do that?
Thanks!

You have to enable the automation types. Hopefully the synth in question allows for this. But the first thing I'd do is check that you've enabled this automation to start with. I'm not in front of DP right now... sorry.
Check in the manual under automation...

Hi James, yes, I have record and play automation enabled. DP is capturing pan, volume, and bypass. But it is not capturing knob tweaking on the synth plugin, like resonance, cutoff freq., etc. Just bypass, which isn't super helpful. I'll go examine the manual again. But all my settings look like they're supposed to look, based on my skimpy knowledge. Thankyou.

Go to the global automation window, to the individual tracks section, and make sure the parameters you wish to automate are available and inside the list (with the "including" option)
OR, you will have to make a MIDI learn move (like in Stylus). I suppose it all depends on the synth you're using, but you should be able to make the instrument "listen", and be able to assign a hardware knob/slider/fader to that parameter.
