NI: Kontakt 3, massive price reductions on synths

Post by MegaDPuser »

check out the NI site - Kontakt 3 almost out - 33 gig library, many product improvements

New synth collection - Absynth, Massive, FM8, Pro-53: List/full price $450. Wha!??!!? (I assume this means street price around $375-400, unbelievable).

Nice updates on other stuff like Guitar Rig 3 too. Nice deals all around, looks like.

The new synth collection is an awesome compilation. Good thinking on their part.

Komplete 4 to 5 is only $229, which combined with the $170 that I just paid to upgrade from 3 to 4 "during the summer of sound" is still $50 less than the $449 from 3 to 5.

Many beers. Am I making sense?

= saving $50.

Here! Here!

Thanks for the PM! This is an amazing situation - my credit card wouldn't approve for the online purchase of Massive, and I have never, ever been so happy for a credit decline before. This package is "it", I can't believe it. Absynth, FM8, and Massive for $400, with Pro-53 thrown in (not too interested in that one, but hey whatever). I am so buying this package.

N.I. states on their website that for customers who upgraded to Komplete 4 during the recent "summer of sound" sale will be receiving a e-coupon in the near future that will allow the Komplete 5 update to be purchased at a greatly reduced price from the $229. So...if you want to go from 4 to 5, I would hold off for a bit until we see what that coupon will say.
Regards,

Brian Ralston

Oh then this is so tasty indeed. Wow! Can't wait to get that coupon, I'll look on their site in a second to see if I can see any details.

I am so glad that I waited to upgrade.

Hey, can I run massive by itself on a Powerbook 1.5GHz or will it totally choke it? I'm asking because I'm not upgrading computers for some time and it'll give me a reason to integrate the PB into my G5 setup so that I really look like the Wizard of Oz...

Or Dark Helmet.

I can't find any mention of upgrade paths for Komplete 3 owners..maybe there aren't any?

Actually the only one I'm interested in is Kontakt3. I wonder if it works...

GuitarRig3's new cabinets look suspiciously like Amplitube2 cabinets, except not as cool. They even have the "air" slider like Amp2 cabs. Hmmm...

Man, I haven't even installed K4 yet. Yes, I went for the K3 to K4 Summer Of Sound update, but now all this...

(Not that I'm complaining ... Can't wait to check out Kontakt 3. Finally I don't have to rebuild the library manually!)

The question is: do I even bother installing Komplete 4, or can I just go straight to Komplete 5?

I know like at least a half dozen folks who wish that they had that problem. :D

Heh-heh... I guess, gearboy, in the grand scheme of things there are worse dilemmas.

You might want to install K4 for Spektral Delay and Vokator as it looks like they removed that from the Komplete 5 package.
