I also had problems loading the first DVD of sounds.... it would stop halfway, error -36. Mac OSX Finder does not do the best job of copying files. I used a utility (Chronosync) to copy the DVD over, and it worked the first time, in about half the time of a Finder copy. There's probably several util...

I haven't been posting much...

I've been busy recording.... But I check in pretty often and I have gotten a lot of great info here. This place is great. Anyway, I'm in the late stages of finishing, and it looks like I have a pretty cool record deal. In the last stages of paperwork with that, I'll give some details when it's final...

You'd have to remove the plugin and launch DP.

Replace the plugin when you reunite w/ the key.

I have recently purchase a computer and loaded from scratch for a new project. I have never had this flawless of an experience getting everything to work right the first time. It never used to be so easy. (except a little hw issue last night that had nothing to do with DP it seems...) Haven't had a ...

Well - I jumped into the fire(studio) and bought one...installed last night and seemed to work pretty well out of the box. I spent a lot of time trying to troubleshoot other issues (getting it to play nice with a Line6 Toneport, that doesn't have much clocking options), so I haven't spent too much t...

Well- after considerable futzing around...

I got it to work, but not sure how. I think some re-plugging things in and out helped.

Oh well.

I think I'll leave things as they are. Maybe after a few hrs troubleshooting, I'll have a few moments to spend on....music.

Thanks again for the help-

I've got nothing else connected on Firewire- the Toneport runs on USB. Tried various buffer and host multiplier settings, to no avail.... One odd thing I've noticed- When I open the "Configure Hardware Driver" dialog it always defaults to the Toneport under the clock modes popup- even when...

Thanks for the quick reply-

That's working for me- but I'm hearing some clicks on the Toneport- is that a clock issue?

Not sure I have many clock options for the Toneport...

Thanks again- Jw

Using Multiple Interfaces with DP?

I just received a new interface today (Presonus FireStudio) and got it installed, configured and working with DP. So far so good. I was hoping to still be able to use my Line6 Toneport UX2 with DP at the same time for quick and semi-dirty guitar input. I can't seem to make them both available at the...

They are all good w/ DP, and can run 2 monitors out of the box (you may need an adapter depending on which monitors you have but it'll work). If your old apple display has the ADC connector you will need an adapter which converts to DVI and supplies power power to the monitor- I think they are aroun...

Re: How to do a quick mix?

I'm also just using a stereo audio interface for the moment (they haven't delivered my new one...) What kind of interface are you getting? If it's one of MOTU's, you don't need AudioHijack. All you have to do is open MOTU Cuemix Console, and enable "Mix 1 Return Includes Computer Output."...
