the 1960 is a nice dark tube-ish sounding pre. I'd go API 512 via lunchbox or A-designs Pacifica/P-1...other end of the spectrum in my book.

Hi All...is there anything in DP like new the external audio router (see below)in Live 7?...i would love to be able to route an external compressor early in an effects chain via the inserts....is this possible. I'm a PPC user...just got turned on to this app and installed 2.5...horrible...several plug-ins (waves, vintage warmer) completely froze the program.

Got 2.12 installed and all is well...definitely the version to use if you don't have an intel mac.

I've been messing around and I agree...having THE master track as an audio track makes the most since...looks like you can use a motu master track to control volume if you'd like....but i don't see the point if you want to record the final mix rather than bounce. Anyways...still looking for feedback.

I don't think so...i was able to find a post where someone was using an audio track as the master track...didn't seem to complain. I just don't find the master track really all that necessary...wanted to see if someone else could explain the virtues of the master track.
