Audio Focus in Consolidated Window

Post by electropoet »

Hi again,
Is there any way to have the consolidated window on say a left monitor so I can switch readily between the tracks, sequence, drum, and mix edit windows, and then have the audio waveform editor window broken out into a seperate window on the right monitor, but...have the higlighted audioclip in the sequence editor automatically be the waveform that is focused on the right screen window (waveform editor).

I can do it if I have the consolidated window on the right and say the sequencer edit window (seperate) on the left...it will follow if the option is checked...but I want the waveform audio window to be a seperate window and I can't get it to followed the highlighted track unless the waveform editor is open in the consolidated window. I'd rather have the waveform editor always open on the left in its own window...but switch on the right between various edit windows in the consolidated window.

Is there a way to have more than 1 consolidated window open at once? Maybe that would fix the problem.

Right now I have all the consolidated window options turned off in prefs...but to be honest I didn't really notice any difference.

Thanks.
Scott

My guess is that the concept contradicts by definition what Consolidated Windows is in its present form.

With that said, I think it would be nice to have some sort of DP-specific prefs for multi-monitor support. Right now, it appears that MOTU gives an either/or option-- "all in one" or "all over the place" with no option between.

Multiple CW's--- sounds like a brilliant feature request!
