I am using Garageband on both machines, and both programs have been updated to the most recent version. If I create a new VI track within Garageband, it opens a menu where I can audition instruments or sound effects triggered by my M-Audio Radium 49 MIDI controller (i.e. Hollywood Strings, Applause,...

Garageband Libraries
I've been wanting to use my PowerBook G4 with my Radium 49 MIDI controller as an instrument to record into my G5, but when I want to play from the "nature sounds" library on my PowerBook, the category simply isn't there. In fact, I have noticed that about 78% of my synth instruments aren't...

Coming from somebody that has been down the PT route with a PowerBook G4, I've gotten absolutely the best performance yet from DP and my Traveler. I don't foresee a return to Pro Tools in my immediate future. When I was running PTLE with a 002, it was never quite as efficient. For example: If I need...

FWIW: I love the sounds and the tube coloration with T-Racks, however, when I used to use it with Pro Tools it would cause a great deal of delay within the mix. We're talking about a half-a-second to a full second of delay for whatever audio was being pumped through the plugin. This was in m...

Am I to understand that I'd have to program those faders and rotory encoders individually for each plugin in each program? Because that's all I can think of. And that kind of sucks as far as trying to save time. Might as well just use my mouse to adjust parameters. Side question: What is your opinio...

Incredible MIDI N00b
Well, since you all have been so kind to help me with previous issues: I have a secondhand M-Audio Radium 49 controller that I like to use for sketching song ideas in GarageBand and DP 4.6.1. So far, I've been using the mouse to change the parameters in the software (the keys work, as well as pitch ...

I don't have an Ultralite, but I don't believe you can set up outputs just within the device. As far as I know, you'll have to tell your recording/playback software what tracks need to be sent to which outputs. Again, we need to know what equipment you are using, and what you intend to use it for, i...
