I've been wanting to use my PowerBook G4 with my Radium 49 MIDI controller as an instrument to record into my G5, but when I want to play from the "nature sounds" library on my PowerBook, the category simply isn't there. In fact, I have noticed that about 78% of my synth instruments aren't there, either.
I've got the latest software updates on both machines and yet my Garageband libraries are different from one another.
I'm pretty much using the PB as a sampler for live effects during podcasting.
Incomplete question. The sounds areent available WHERE? You cant see them in Garageband??? Or what??? More detail...
Your can use Garageband sounds in Logic. soooooo. And of course this is a DP/MOTU Board. You ability to see a SOUND selection has nothing to do with your audio interface.
I am using Garageband on both machines, and both programs have been updated to the most recent version.
If I create a new VI track within Garageband, it opens a menu where I can audition instruments or sound effects triggered by my M-Audio Radium 49 MIDI controller (i.e. Hollywood Strings, Applause, etc.).
My question is: When I open Garageband in both machines, why would the menu to select a particular VI be so sparse on the PowerBook as compared to the VI menu on the G5? I don't remember installing anything more on the G5.
