Re: Recording mulitple audio tracks from multiple MIDI track
Other posters are right: you need to route the various Kontakt MIDI instruments to their own discrete audio channels. This would be true of all VIs playing back more than one instrument at a time. I have templates of empty audio channels for my Vis. I put 'em in a track folder and forget them until ...

Re: Record enable in event list - Where did it go?
To all whose irony was lost on me, I apologize. And thanks for the suggestions! I won't be going back to 5.13.

Re: Record enable in event list - Where did it go?
For all those (site administrator, I'm talking to you) whose advanced workflow techniques do not necessitate a record-enable button in the event list window, well, gosh, that's great! Just watch out for DP8. When it takes away YOUR little tricks, you'll come bawling back to this site like you always...

Record enable in event list - Where did it go?
OK, OK, I finally upgraded to 7.12 from 5.13.
Now where the heck is the record-enable button I used to find in the event list? So time-saving - enabling the sound you're working on! Is there some new protocol? It's enough to make me want to go back!

Re: Orchestral VI Recommendation?
Terry: I own EWQLSO Gold and I have found (not withstanding the comments from Mr. Frodo which are quite true) that particular collection very good for many things. IMHO, strings are not one of them. I am very partial to the Kirk Hunter Libraries. There are a number of collections at different price...

Changing track colors in V-rack.
A dumb question from someone who ought to know better---but doesn't.
I just started using the V-rack. How do you change the track colors in the mixer window?
Thanks!

I have a large library of Giga files. I thought that porting them over to MachFive was a no-brainer. Boy was I wrong. MachFive is a lumbering, processor-heavy VI. Compared to running the same presets on my Windows-Giga machine, MachFive stutters, spikes, and basically EATS the processor. And believe...

I've had to do this kind of operation before, and there are a couple of points you might want to consider: Irish pipes? My God, man, if you're thinking that EACH NOTE is the same distance away from 440, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn. Fact is, it's the little out-of-tune-ness among ALL the notes that...

Velocity sensitivity=volume. WHERE????
I'm sort of a newbie to MachFive, and I can't seem to find a simple way to turn off velocity sensitivity as a controller of level. Basically, I want NO velocity sensitivity, like an organ patch.
Any response would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Control Change 7 AND audio volume disappear!
The absolute strangest thing happened this morning. Loaded up a sequence I was working on (DP 4.61) and ALL the control change 7 & 10 (MIDI volume and pan) AND audio volume was GONE! I've been using DP since it was P, and I've never seen anything like it. The CC 64 (pedal) information was intact...
