From what I understand, MIDI input accepts incoming MIDI*allowing drumagog to act as my drum brain. I can't even get the preset samples to trigger via MIDI before even going into DP. It works fine with analog but that's not what I want to do.

You're right. I had to assign the MIDI track output to EWQLSO and the EWQLSO track output assigned to Analog 1-2.

Is there an Instrument track in your project that says something like EWQL-1? If so, you are running it as a plugin. Yes, track 1 is the MIDI track. No, not external. The MIDI notes/data are from the eastwest symphonic orchestra plug-in.
