If you have a problem other then registration with 5.12 please start posting it here...

Clippings are not working properly in retaining always run in realtime setting...

Hey, not to be the Unicornation police, but --

Can we change the title of this thread until these "bugs" are confirmed or at least substantiated by a sizeable number of user claims?

I'm not against posting a bug list. I'm just saying let's build up to it by gathering some substance first.

Things can take an unnecessarily alarmist turn otherwise.

Agreed -- it is very easy for "conventional wisdom" to be set by thread titles.

Before you know it posts will almost automatically begin with "EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT DP 5.12 IS TOO BUGGY"

Here is the workaround for clippings... When you use a clippings window with multiple plugs you need to open the plug after dragging it to the insert and put it in "always run in real time"

Some times clippings sets that up other times not. Even if the clipping you saved has that setting it does not always come back...

I think Chrispick nailed it.

Let's give it a chance first.
My guess is it's mostly a "stability"/bug-zapping update, so I'd like to think MOTU's kicked a few goals here.

I s'pose it's easy to be brave and patient when the app's still being downloaded... :roll:

As I mentioned in the thread I started 'audio files not playing back in DP 5.12', I opened a 5.11 file in 5.12 and four mono audio tracks (out of over two dozen) wouldn't play back. Eventually, I found that if I did 'Merge soundbites', the new soundbite would play back. But this was enough to scare me away from using 5.12 for a while.

there seems to be a lot of frenzy about bugs and such, I wanted to check in before I install....but I'm still annoyed that powercore is still not UB :evil:

so far no problems here, with MIDI, usb, or audio, on a powerbook or on a dual gig g5. kontakt works, ditto altiverb 5, ditto mach five, the main plugs I'm using right now.
