This has been kicking my ass for years! I have been looking for a simple delay plug in as well. I do a lot of "double" micing of certain sources and want to use a simple delay to time align the resulting tracks. Of course nudging a track is possible, but it is a very inefficient way to do ...

No sir, that is a Yamaha subkick. One of the best $300 you will ever spend. Use your fav mic internally, and add this "mic" to the outside. Hi cut the sub kick channel 70-100hz and gate x-tra tight. Or at least that is how I start out. This method produces a very tight and strong bottom en...

I use a studio projects lsd2 in xy pretty often for overheads, and it works quite well. I also like rode nt5's, but 2 audio technica 3035's in an xy config are my favorite "budget" overheads. now if could just sneak a royer sf24 by the wife!....

Trouble with mw gate... or user error???

heres one 4 ya, I am using a mw gate on a snare and side chaining it from a bus. This works great until I close the plug window. After closing the gates window, the track goes silent. Upon further investigation using the "meters" window, I have found that the entire bus goes silent that I ...

Some of the waves plugs work in dp 5.11 but they all definately make the system unstable. I have a quad 2.66 with 4 gig of ram and when I instantiate any waves plug, the system bogs down. It actually crashed the machine once. Some people on this forum seem to be able to make them work, but its a no ...

Does a quality universal au distortion/overdrive plug exist?

I am looking for a plug that can emulate overdrive, saturation, distortion, etc... and I'm coming up short. I have found camel phat, but nothing else. Anyone mind telling me what you use, and or like? I want to be able to create the overdriven tube mic sound on vocal tracks and maybe add bite to per...

I was told that on pci-e systems no 2 cards share a bus, or that each card gets its own path to the processor. So hopefully card confilcts are a thing of the past.

I have not aquired "geek" status so my understanding of system archetectuere could be flawed....

what utility do you use to back up sessions???

I'm on a mac pro 2.66 and i want to find a file back up utility. one that after an initial back up, compares source and destination files and copies the changed ones. I have seen a couple available, and would like to find out what others are using.

Any suggestions?????
