Re: Audio Won't Load in Tracks Window - SOLVED
SOLVED! Thanks for reaching out, Mike. I opened another project and nothing I had sequenced or recorded showed up on the timeline, although I could still hear it. So I went to full panic mode and started digging. I went to the View menu and pulled down Filters, discovering that NONE of the boxes wer...

Audio Won't Load in Tracks Window
When I try to drag audio files to the tracks window, nothing happens. The files are rejected. I can import audio and it does show up in the Soundbites window. Here's what I've tried so far: 1. Re-converetd from WAV to WAV 2. Trashed Preferences 3. Tried to load audio files from a different project 4...

Re: Pre-Gen MIDI Controller Bug in DP 9.1
I downloaded 9.1 this morning and fired it up to record a piano track with Ivory. Ran into the same problem. I didn't have time to get really scientific about the whole thing, but as I tried the various workarounds listed in this thread, the problem seemed to get worse . . . So I'm back to 9.02 for ...

Track Selector in Mixing Board
After my recent upgrade to DP9, I've not been able to get the Track Selector to live alongside the Mixing Board unless I physically drag it there. It used to open up when I'd click the icon in the lower left of the mixer and would just be nested in the Mixing Board. I'd like to return to that config...

Re: The dreaded stuck and dropped notes problem revisited
This used to be a huge issue for me as well. I thought it had finally gone away with DP7, but I had a rash of stuck notes the other day out of the clear blue while using Gigastudio. The sticking notes seemed to be emanating from the Gigastudio MIDI tracks, and the situation occurred after a hour or ...

VEP5 Event Input Issues
I'm fairly new to VEP, so there's a good chance this might be operator error . . . but when I try to use the new Event Input feature in VEP5, I am unable to switch MIDI Input channels on any instance of that. I'm talking about switching channels on the small window that opens in VEP every time you c...

Re: VEP Event Input
Thank you so much for the succinct explanation. I too, have been scratching my head wondering about how to "work" this new marvel from Vienna. I knew I could find the answer here.

Re: Mac Pro and Slave Questions
Thanks John -
Anybody else want to weigh in on this? I figured the G4 was better served as a doorstop, but it didn't hurt to ask . . .
I think I will probably go the the Vienna Ensemble Pro unless someone comes up with another idea that makes sense.

Mac Pro and Slave Questions
I'm pretty well done with the Giga Windows machines :( and I'm trying to figure out how to put a master Mac and a slave to work. I have an old G4 gathering dust and wonder if it will serve me well as a slave, or if I should go ahead and buy a used Mac Pro and load it up with memory. I'd like to use ...

Re: MIDI editing corrupted in 7.02 and 7.1?RESOLVED
I just had the same problem, and was so pleased to find this post. I went in to my view filter, checked both "display only" and "playback only," and my auto-duplicating problems were over. Thanks so much for doing what MOTU should be doing.

Re: Trilogy still not working even after upgrade to DP7
I upgraded to Trilian today. Expecting to pay $99, to my surprise I was only charged for the price of UPS shipping. When other companies are clawing every dollar they can out of their customers, it is refreshing and heartening to be treated like this. This, coupled with their outstanding products an...

Re: White Noise on Imported Audio
I sent the last batch of audio to my PC guy yesterday, saved as WAV files. They came back as AIFF files, as per my delivery specs, and they load into DP without issue
Thanks again to all who helped with this problem.

Re: White Noise on Imported Audio
Yeah, all the above comments make sense. Thanks so much, guys (and gal :), for commenting on this situation. I've been exporting to my PC guy as AIFF files, but in the future I will export this stuff as WAV so he can work on the audio without issue. I have another piece that will go out the door thi...

Re: White Noise on Imported Audio
Well, I tried re-naming the files as suggested. Still white noise :( Interestingly enough, if I import the AIFF files into iTunes and convert them to WAV, they will load into DP without a problem. However, I'm stuck with 16 bit audio if I do that. These files were created on a Mac (see specs below) ...
