Hey Rich,
I've been using both for a while with no problems.

Something to consider.
I just discovered www.wiebetech.com They make a variety of "drive docks" for both IDE and ATA drives. They are a tiny (match box size adapter) and provide Firewire 4 and 8, USB 1 and 2 bridges (with drive power supply) that allow you connect an internal (naked) drive to your data chain. Th...

Output assigns accumulate MSI-1 MSI-2
In creating instances of MSI VI's I seem to be accumulating multple MSI outputs in the tracks output popup window. Further, only the highest numbered assign actually triggers the selected instrument. ??? Is there a way to delete the "lower" MSI assigns? Or avoid generating them in the firs...

To Giles - Mackie EXT
Let me see if I can formulate the question. The EXT "wants" to sit to the left of the MCU, the tracks default open on the MCU from left to right and then over on the EXT from left to right. How might one have tracks default open on the EXT first so 1 through 16 will appear left to right ac...

Ditto, sklathill. Just got MSI yesterday. Once I finally figured out how to patch my keyboard controller through DP into MSI (simpler than I thought) I knocked together 8 tracks of Violin Ensemble, Oboe, Harp, Timpani, Male, Female and Child Choir with a sprinkling of Tutti full orchestra here and t...

Track MIDI Controller Routing No Sound
Just got MSI. No joy yet. I'm running an M-Audio es88 Keyboard controller via USB into DP4.6. (The Keyboard does have 1 MIDI out as well as the USB) The docs on the initial MSI setup assume more knowledge than I have. I want to link the es88 to trigger MSI and MSI to Audio out.... Everything is ther...

Using LaCie FW 800 on G4 Dual and G5 single processor, for music and DVD productions.
No worries here.

Re: FYI: Tiger Troubles Even For The Expert!
Yes, on the install disks, in disk first aid, in the disk utilities. Reformat. low level format. Depending on the specific OS install disks (Tiger is usually one DVD) there is an option to write 0's on the disk before the install (Tiger will do this up to 35 times, overkill, mostly a security measur...

Re: FYI: Tiger Troubles Even For The Expert!
Nice to see this forum back, well done blokes! Been using and growing with Apple since '79. One always hears the "new OS" dangers being lamented. It's problematic and inaccurate to make claims about new OS experiences with one or two machines. Who knows what HFS mess it is being installed ...
