Re: Need help with audio management
Crisis MOSTLY averted. Had to go through every back up of the project and copy over the audio files folder from each, using the "keep original" function in finder to prevent the creation of duplicates. Still missing a couple things for one or two cues, but I'm back on track!

Re: Need help with audio management
What I've started doing before I archive a project (assuming that all my edits are final)-- is I merge soundbites on all tracks. (This renders all the bite-gains, crossfades and pitch edits-- if any). Then I play everything to make sure it's all right and proper. Then I use the select-unused-soundb...

Re: Need help with audio management
I feel your pain, ccjones. Right now, I can't figure what's happening. For years on, DP has never screwed any audio on my projects. AFAICT, within a project, DP sees a soundbite as *unused*, when it does not appear anymore in any chunk (sequence). I make intensive use of *delete unused soundbite*. ...

Need help with audio management
I've been on a project for over a year off and on and I'm realizing I need a better way to manage the audio I'm creating in DP. The delete unused soundbites function appears to have royally screwed me over. It would seem I wasn't clear on how the software determines what is unused and what is. There...

Re: Wild CPU spikes with DP 9.13 and 9.12
Thank you Michael. Didn't think to try that! Must have been stressing. In the end, exporting the session as a clipping and dumping it into an empty session dud the trick.

Wild CPU spikes with DP 9.13 and 9.12
HI all. I'm having a big issue with a project. It's been smooth sailing with 9.12 until today. Suddenly I started getting CPU spikes when I would so much as click any window in the session. Session has about 100 audio tracks (mixes/stems for a documentary that I'm conforming). The session was workin...

Re: Project Folder do's and don'ts?
Rather than do things directly to the project folder, have a look at the section in the manual on compacting a project. P52. That will let you get rid of unnecessary files. Cool! I figured something so specific wouldn't be covered in the manual. DP never ceases to have some cool feature I never kne...

Project Folder do's and don'ts?
Other than the bounce folder, what parts of a project file can I remove content from without upsetting DP? My current project file is over 100 GB. My first thought is to delete unused soundbites. While effective, that would leave me with a lot of cues to sort through. Any other suggestions greatly a...

Re: DP crashing when changing meter in conductor track
Hey guys. Big thank you for all your feedback. It seems to have been a random hiccup. I was able to make the meter changes needed after simply stepping away from my machine for a while. Magic? Magic.  :banghead: I'm sorry to hear about your issue. I can't think of anything that may cause ...

Re: DP crashing when changing meter in conductor track
Just tried disabling the v-rack and that seemed to prevent the crash initially (as I could input one meter change), but when I tried to add another meter change, the same crash happened. I need to have a 6/4 measure followed by a 2/4 measure for a project on a deadline. Any help would be very apprec...

DP crashing when changing meter in conductor track
I'm trying to change the meter for a couple of measures. The moment I push "change," in the dialog box, DP crashes immediately. Anyone else have this issue or know of a good workaround?

I've had the same issue. Only solution I've found is to edit MIDI in the MIDI editor. I do prefer the sequence editor though...

DP9 Click Issue
My sequence is set to 3/4 in the conductor track. I want the click on each quarter note. No matter what I do, it plays a dotted quarter note. I've changed the click preferences for 3/4 to a beat value of a quarter note to no avail. I then changed it to a pattern reading 1 1 1 / 4 to no avail. What d...

Re: DP 7.24 Crash on opening sequence
Hey All, I ended up just making a new sequence and importing the MIDI data. As soon as this project is done, the old sequence is going in the trash... Thanks for the help!!

Re: DP 7.24 Crash on opening sequence
So, after disabling plug-ins, I was able to get the session open both from an external HD and from the computer itself, but the only instance in which the session didn't crash was when it had been opened from the external HD. Which leaves me wondering how to proceed... I have plenty of MIDI data tha...
