Is this an issue with this unit? A technician at an audio company says that the 192s have this problem and Motu won't fix it. sampolfonz I've never heard that. Have you tried a larger buffer size? I'd get KP's on my G4 DP 1.42, 324/2408 and I updated to a 424 card/HD192. That's been pretty good. But I've had the 324/2408 in a G4 DP 867 for 2 years now and have only had 1 KP.

Version 3? The latest version I can find is 1.2.0. BTW, version 1.0.8 is 2 years old and was for early versions of Panther. The newest one is for Tiger and I assume a newer version is soon to come out for Leopard which may be released this month. I suspect the problem may have been not uninstalling ...

I've always shut off the MOTU unit, installed the driver after first deleting the previous one, shut down the Mac, turn on the MOTU and turn on the Mac.

No problems with that system.

Same "standard" as in Canada and I'm 99% sure it's like that in the States. There was a period when pin 3 was hot. I have a Soundcraft 8000 from the late 80's that is pin 3 hot.
