That did it - thanks!bayswater wrote:I think you have to turn on the Master Master too. I temporarily assigned Panic to the lowest note on my keyboard, and it seems to work. You should see the Studio menu header flash when you press the MIDI key. If Master Master is off, it won't flash.

Re: Can DP receive All Notes Off (CC 123 #0) messages?
So I spoke a bit too soon. What I thought was working yesterday was actually targeting a VI running as standalone. This should work… but I have yet to get the Panic command to respond to a MIDI input. Is DP always listening to inputs, or do I have to specify MIDI command messaging on / off somewhere...

No, and that's fantastic! Never knew about that feature. Cool fix.bayswater wrote:Did you try adding a MIDI Event that you can send from your controllers to the Panic command in the Commands window?
Edit: works great.

Re: Can DP receive All Notes Off (CC 123 #0) messages?
Thanks for the info, Shoosh. Didn't think to look in the Tips Sheet for those details. Just to be clear: my issue is that I cannot remotely fire DP's 'Stop Sounding MIDI Notes' menu option. If I'm on stage playing my controller away from the host computer, I can't stop stuck MIDI notes without headi...

Can DP receive All Notes Off (CC 123 #0) messages?
Ran into an issue today while testing an app. I'm sending the All Notes Off message (CC 123 #0) into the computer through a micro lite. The messages appear in snoize's MIDI Monitor, but they do not record or pass through a DP MIDI track. In essence, I've got stuck notes in a VI, and the external All...

MIDI problems (retriggering)
I've got an issue now where record enabled MIDI tracks will retrigger a held note. IE - if I play a chord, DP sends the chord out my MIDI Timepiece again and again in a regular pulse (about 1.5 seconds apart). So if I held C-D-E, it would sound like: C-D-E.......C-D-E.......C-D-E.......C-D-E....... ...

896HD won't use Core Audio, high pitched noise instead
I've got an 896HD connected to a G5, and everything works perfectly in apps that are using the 'default system out' device. Meaning, iTunes plays perfectly out the 896HD like it should. However, any app that uses Core Audio immediately stops all audio playback to the 896, and there is a very high pi...

Is Unisyn the only answer to adding your own Patch Names?
Is there a way to add custom patch names, including banks, for devices that do not have patch lists that come up with OS X's .middev and .midnam files? My friend has a Kawai K5 that does not have its own .midnam file, and he would like to input the patch names so they appear in Performer. Is there a...

2408mk3 - Not powering up!
(Why do these things happen when you are working the hardest...) This morning, after working fine for hours, my 2408mk3 has stopped powering up completely, and doesn't show up in the MOTU PCI Audio Console. Interestingly, the glow of the ADAT ports tells me that some power is getting to the box, but...

Great thread, Shooshie. I'm also very interesting in VI performance. I've been waiting to buy NI Komplete until I get a new computer (I've got a Dual 1GHz), but if DP5 helps reduce the CPU load for things like Kontakt, I'll be buying it right now. Could you do some more investigative work into that?

The only other hardware interface I've used was a Digi002 (which IMHO is a piece of crap). It didn't have the problem. By now in the thread we've established the last on/off rule. Can we move on and admit that it would be nice to have this problem fixed? Bug or not? I have never blown a tweeter on i...
