Re: Plugins quit when closed - DP5

I have no idea WHY it is happening but, by your description I can guess WHAT is happening.

It seems the plug-in is only working when in real-time, and not when pre-rendering. Try checking the option "always run in real-time" in that plug-in's mini-menu and see what happens.

Re: Why does DP take such a long time to apply fades?

The "DP Fade In/Out Problem" has already deserved this forum's attention in the past: http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28333 http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28458 My opinion on the topic: I guess the Fades audio files is something a little dat...

Re: ISO disc image from DP6???

I don't know if this information even applies to the Audio CD image file, but here it goes: A ".toast" file is usually just an ".iso" file. In the past, I've renamed a ".toast" hybrid (Mac/Windows) CD-ROM image to ".iso" to use the image in Windows and it work...

I'm already set on the crossgrade price anyways as I'm a die-hard fan of their hardware and motu-hardware ownership entitles you to the crossgrade as well. You could also try AudioDesk, it comes bundled with every MOTU hardware. DP has all of its audio features and more (like surround support, for ...

MIDI Life Crisis wrote:And Cubase. which for some reason, some southerners in the USA refer to as "Cubasis" (I don't know why).
Cubasis was a different application, a kind of Cubase LE. I don't think it is being developed anymore.

Maybe thru the IAC Driver? In DP go to Setup/Interapplication MIDI and create an input port. I think it will then become a valid MIDI output in Live...

We talked about this problem in this very recent thread: http://www.unicornation.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=28333&highlight= Magic Dave even commented about it. Here's the opinion I expressed on this matter: I guess the Fades audio files is something a little dated. I can understand the need to ...

Dave, it has been a long awaiting request that DP somehow be able to handles fade calculation without glitching if one presses play too early.... Do you think DP will ever be able to operate as Pro Tools ..i.e.,,no glitching or delay waiting for fade calculations? Even Pro Tools LE does fades witho...

Yeah they sell some brand new manuals , it's around 600$ if you don't already have DP , and around 400$ as a cross grade update from AD/previous DP. Taking fokof's post just as an illustration of what usually happens around here, I should say that I really don't understand this obsession in judging...

I'd be careful with something else: the MAS plugins will be updated to the new 5.x version, and if you need to launch DP 4.6x they may have problems or not work at all... ? If I were you, I'd backup your current MAS plugins, located in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/MAS before installing 5.x, just in case...

Does it work with LAN instead of WAN? Yes, and it works even better! You can use it with any TCP/IP capable network, I guess. Unfortunately, as far as I know, it isn't being developed anymore as plasq wanted to focus its business mainly on video applications. Edit: I went to their site and, it is n...

Hello, I switched from pc about a year ago... biggest pitfall is programming fingers to hit cmd instead of ctrl (the key locations are reversed...) ... that would be about the only downfall I can think of... Go to System Preferences / Keyboard & Mouse. In the Keyboard tab, press the "Modif...
