will an upgrade (5.13) install leave a 4.61 version there?
I have my 5.13 upgrade sitting here ready and I'm eager. But I'm also deep into 2 projects. If there are any problems w/4.61 pre-existing files, will there still be my older version of DP there to work with? Thanks, Kelly

4.61 will stay there, it'll just install 5.13 separately. HOWEVER be aware that once you've saved a file in dp 5.13, it won't be backwards compatible. it's got a totally different file system going on, so if you want to then work on it in an earlier version, you'll need to do a "save as" including duplicate audio.
I'd be careful with something else: the MAS plugins will be updated to the new 5.x version, and if you need to launch DP 4.6x they may have problems or not work at all... ?
If I were you, I'd backup your current MAS plugins, located in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/MAS before installing 5.x, just in case...
