Hello,
I set up a setting on a compressor (DP dynamics and others) and when I close the plugin window the effect quits effecting - like it's bypassed. Open it up and poof - working again . . .
Ideas??

I have no idea WHY it is happening but, by your description I can guess WHAT is happening.
It seems the plug-in is only working when in real-time, and not when pre-rendering. Try checking the option "always run in real-time" in that plug-in's mini-menu and see what happens.
