Except to do any updates or resets you need access to that menu. The do it yourself for me is a no go. It's only 3 months old. I just hate to be without it for so long.

All of my display lights have gone out on the unit except for the green led's under clock section. The whole center display is dark as is the rest of it. Any ideas? This is pretty new.

I have mine on a rack mount style power conditioner for these sort of things. They are not that expensive. Check Guitar Center if one is around you.

Can we possibly now get a workaround for this issue? Apple is obviously not going to address this on their end.

It's been a long time since Motu updated anything regarding the 828's. I wish this could be fixed. Also the 828 sometimes drops out to where you have to reset the firewire connection to get it back.

Or what about usb 3 interfaces? Is it just deemed unnecessary?

Also some apps like Mainstage and some others don't allow you to choose pairs as 13-14 or 14-15 for s/pdif and optical so you get no sound at all even though system sounds are fine. Something is not well thought out here.

If you wait until after you log on to turn on the 828mk3 you don't have to reselect the default options and the MIDI device is not duplicated. At least that's my experience.
