828mk3 LCD screen blank

I turned on my 828mk3 today and the LCD display is dark. No light or display. I also noticed that my headphone jack does not work . Help!!!

Mine is broken also. These must be defective displays. What should we do? I can't be without my device?

It's broken on my 828mkII, as well. This seems to be common. There are those who've made repairs-- search for the threads here for how to do it. I haven't done it myself, so I'm not of much help there.

I don't believe there's any information on that display that isn't also available on cuemix, so unless you use it in standalone mode, it should be fully functional without that display.

Except to do any updates or resets you need access to that menu. The do it yourself for me is a no go. It's only 3 months old. I just hate to be without it for so long.

As far as I know, if out of warranty, the best thing is to contact MOTU. They have a refurb exchange. You won't get back the one you send in but you will get back a working unit. I have read that the price is under $100 for the 828mkII but have no first hand knowledge of this.

I believe there is a two-year warranty. So, if you want it fixed, contact whoever you bought it from, or MOTU. Hopefully, you won't be without it for very long.

Limited Warranty on Hardware
Mark of the Unicorn, Inc. and S&S Research (“MOTU/S&S”) warrant this equipment
against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of TWO (2) YEARS from
the date of original retail purchase. This warranty applies only to hardware products;

obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization Number. No service will be performed on
any product returned without prior authorization. MOTU will, at its option, repair or
replace the product at no charge to you, provided you return it during the warranty
period, with transportation charges prepaid, to Mark of the Unicorn, Inc., 1280
Massachusetts Avenue, MA 02138. You must use the product’s original packing
material for in shipment, and insure the shipment for the value of the product. Please
include your name, address, telephone number, a description of the problem, and
the original, dated bill of sale with the returned unit and print the Return Merchandise
Authorization Number on the outside of the box below the shipping address.

This warranty does not apply if the equipment has been damaged by accident,
abuse, misuse, or misapplication; has been modified without the written permission
of MOTU, or if the product serial number has been removed or defaced.

ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE
