Re: 896mk3 Driver Install Failure
Been a long time since I’ve dropped by here. First thought turn on the Sound device before booting the laptop. Second is that XP had a flaw where it only allowed a certain number of USB devices it stored them in the registry, may have been fixed with the service packs. Did you do a clean install whe...

Re: 828mk3 Firmware update
Don't know why the firmware 1.06 has a date of Aug 2011, its older than that, I've ran 1.06 for quite some time. Looking at the last two entrieson problem I did a little experiement. At first I had the same problem as others even after updating the drivers. So I ran the process in reverse after the ...

Re: MIDI Express XT problems
In Midi-Ox under Option/MIDI Devices, it will show you all of the devices it detects both 5 pin DIN and usb/MIDI. Here you can select them and even rename the ports. Once selected it comes up with a connection screen that default to selecting everything, right-click to disconnect all the drag the mo...

Re: MIDI Express XT problems
I've used the XT way back when it was new and the hottest thing, I only use MidiOx for mapping so mush easier so many functions.

Re: Cuemix routing
Finaly wrapped my head around the fact that Cuemix acts like an extention to the application (out to out) (in to in) and not an interface (out to in). Controlling the volume using the apps has me cranking it down to -37 to -40db, setting the mains in monitor and using the monitor dial in cuemix. Ano...

Cuemix routing
First I must say I've never had problems with the sound quality of my 828mk3 or the drivers, I've run every Windows 64bit OS, now Win 7. That said I've mainly used it Direct Connect, all my instruments, mixers, and sound processors straight into the inputs. Using the Cuemix for control. Now I have c...

Re: bus that canot support this transfer rate
I get that error now and then if I forget to turn on my MOTU device before my computer. I also get no audio at times when I forget that I have the MOTU set default for 48K while the computer comes up at 44.1k. Is your FW card using a TI chip?

Re: New drivers available: 3.7.37320
I've gone from Vista 64 to Win 7 64 and it seem I have more random BSOD. That's the growing pains of a new OS. When it is up the sound is fantastic, but I never know when it's going to take a dump. The drivers and the OS aren't very stable. It still beats my EMU for quality and update attempts. But ...

Re: 828 mk3 and Vista 64 query
No two systems are alike, custom built or store bought. Any manufacture that builds a system that interfaces with a computer is going to have problems solving every problem or pleasing every user. It's the luck of the draw, I've been running Vista Ult from the beginning with my 828 mk3 and every ver...
