Re: Mackie Control Universal (MIDI) and Audio MIDI Setup
Interesting. I did update CueMix in late January early Feb, which included an updated MOTU driver (I think). Thankfully this is not a major issue, only a minor annoyance.

Re: Mackie Control Universal (MIDI) and Audio MIDI Setup
I don't use any other MIDI devices. I have pulled the Traveler out of the rack and connected the MCU via the MIDI ports on the side of the Traveler and it has the same problem. I was hoping that this was something in Digital Performer that could easily be solved. I'll pick up some new MIDI cables th...

Mackie Control Universal (MIDI) and Audio MIDI Setup
I use a Mackie Control Universal (MIDI version). I connect it via the MIDI ports on the 828mk3. Each time I open Digital Performer I must go into Audio MIDI Setup and reconnect the control surface. Once the connections are redrawn, it works fine. However, if I hit "Rescan MIDI" or if I qui...

Re: Trim Latch Volume Automation
Thanks for the info. Now I can quit trying to get it to work.
I tried the "Change Continuous Data," which seems easy enough (if not easier).

Trim Latch Volume Automation
I am currently using automation on a mix. I have recorded volume automation for my mix using the Latch mode and would like to scale certain tracks at various points with the Trim Latch mode. When changing the mode to Trim Latch from Latch the volume faders in the mixing board window and on my Mackie...

Re: eSATA & DP
http://www.sonnettech.com/product/tempo_sata_express34.html I have been using this for quite some time now. I have used it with Glyph 050Q drives (which use 1.5 Gb/s rather than the full 3 Gb/s). I now use it with full 3 Gb/s external hard drives I assembled. I generally am recording live music, and...

Sending ADAT output to Two recording devices
I will be doing a live multitrack recording next month. I will be using 3 8-channel preamps with ADAT output. I would like to route the ADAT output to my Traveler/828mk3 recording rig and to an Alesis HD24 so that I can run 2 recordings such that one is not dependent on the other. I have been search...

Word Clock Question
I use a Traveler. I have a 2 channel ADC which I connect to the Traveler with S/PDIF, a 2 channel ADC which connects via AES, and an 8 channel ADC which connects via ADAT. I use a master word clock generator to clock all the ADC's via BNC. Should I set the Traveler's clock to external with the BNC f...

CueMix and Live Recording
I currently use a MacBook Pro and a MOTU Traveler to record live concerts. I use an external hard disk for the recording process connected via eSATA, and DP is the DAW I use to record. I generally use a combination of on-stage microphone placement, in-audience microphone placement, and PA-feed, gene...

Buffer Question
I am currently using a Traveler and DP 5.11 with a MBP to do live performance recording. Depending on options, I generally run 4-8 channels, occasionally 16. I use an external hard-drive at 7200rpm for recording. I monitor my inputs via CueMix and do not monitor anything through DP except for visual...
