How to make DP load an AU when it doesn't want to!

Anyway I tried trashing the 'audio units info cache' file which forced DP to inspec...

That's good news - I just assumed it was to always be avoided. I guess I should just get the thing and start experimenting running DP project on it ....

I would not run any FW HD's if using more than one FW800's. Instead, Upgrade your internal drive to the latest Seagate. Think they have fast 160gb internals that just came out for laptops. The internals are fast enough to get quite a few tracks or video and tracks. Others may comment of this but an...

(edit - just realised this is an old thread recently revived with a new reply so I'm just repeating what everyone (including myself) has said already) It's a well known scam. You can look it up here (or a variation of it). scamorama.com You have two options. 1 - forget about it - life's too short. 2...

It's also good for 'limp' snare drums too to give more bite etc

James, VST wrappers are fairly cheap, audioease do one as do FXpansion... I've used the audioease one with DP for years without a single problem.

Just imagine the world of freeware vst plugs that awaits you....

I like to lie on my back on the floor and listen - somehow it's great for getting right inside the basic structure of a mix ie the arrangement itself.

(though my studio has lots of floor area, not so good if on the floor means right underneath the desk)

it's not ok for the police to randomly pull over a black man in a car and say "well, we have a lot of cars stolen around here". everyone knows what you mean. The analogy doesn't fit. No one pulled him over to begin with. A better analogy would be a guy pulls up at a garage and asks some a...

Quite often a quick solution I use is to grab safari's scroll bar with the mouse and keep hold of it while I read the webpage - often any banners with animation or sound are frozen by doing this. For example if I do it on this reply page I am typing on now the animated smilies stop blinking, smiling...
