Thanks for the reply, sorry for not updating this post. I figured out the problem, which was the fact that I was using a motherboard with a VIA chipset. I ordered an Intel board and once I swapped it, everything started working and I have been recording since.. :O)

For laughs, you could just run without any termination and see if the behavior of your system changes. And I think we have a winner! I removed the terminator and "T" last night and just went direct WC out of the 2408 into the WC in of the ADA8000. It recorded without any sync issues at al...

I am definitely using a 50 Ohm terminator. Does it give any indication as to what might happen if you use a 50 vs a 75 ohm?

I don't know if it is a requirement as much as a suggestion, but their manual does show the connection being made with a terminating cap. I also learned looking back at the manual that the ADA8000 apparently has no WC output, so I can't use it as master to sync VIA wordclock to the 2408, so that opt...

Here is an update. Going back and looking over some previous posts, I decided to remove the wordclock cable, relying solely on the ADAT to bring the clock into the 2408. I then went in Audio console and set the control source to "Bank B optical in". Now the tracks stay sync'd with each oth...

Help with sync problem

Ok, I am at my wit's end with this one. I have a 2408 mkII that is connected via wordclock to a Behringer ADA8000. The PCI console has the clock set to "PCI324 internal" and the cable is terminated at the behringer (which is set to slave WC) with a 50 Ohm cap. I have used various programs ...

2408 mkII and Behringer ADA8000 connection

Greetings all, I am going to be using the Berhinger ADA8000 to send 8 channels ADAT into the 2408. I just wanted to know how I should go about syncing the 2 together. I have one ADAT cable to go from the ADA8000 to the 2408, as well as a word clock cable. I would just like to know how to connect the...

Thanks for the information. I would LOVE to have a manual for it, but I seem to be pretty much out of luck in that department. You didn't mention anything about what I should be seeing for inputs on the 2408. Is there anything that should give me an indication that I have signals present? I do have ...

New to 2408 (mkII), help with front panel LED's

Greetings, I recently acquired a 2408 MKII and have been having a heck of a time getting it to work with Windows XP SP 2. I don't have all my machine specs, but I will get them if anyone needs them. I think somehow the 2408 may have gotten placed in a mode I can't use. It doesn't seem to display any...

Help with recording purchase

Greetings Everyone, First post here, hopefully the people here can help with my dilemma. We currently are looking at picking up a piece of rack gear for recording. Our mixer is analog (Behr MX3282), so I don't *think* ADAT lightpipe or TDIF or other connections are going to be part of the decision. ...
