This is happening to my Traveler as well.
If you're lucky it might be the internal Power Supply.
If not the LCD is defective.
In both cases you should get the unit repaired by the MOTU service people.

Re: Traveler LCD Flickers
It sounds like the LCD backlight is failing. I suppose it could also be a power problem. Does it make a difference if you use FireWire bus power of the DC power supply? Make sure that you put the FireWire Bus Power Enable switch in the right position. (It's on the side panel near the MIDI jacks.) I...

Traveler LCD Flickers
Hi.
The LCD Display of my Traveler interface flickers, I mean it's brightness jumps from high to low (the best I can describe it).
Sometimes it's not readable at all from my viewable angle.
Any hints?

MOTU Firewire drivers VS RME HDSP drivers
Has anyone spotted any differences between the eficiency of RME vs MOTU drivers ?
On my setup, when I run a certain project, with RME Cardbus + Multiface I get ~88% CPU Utilization (Task Manager) and with MOTU Firewire I get ~93%
.
However, the MOTU is 1ms better in terms of latency @ 1024 samples.
