Re: 'Fading' display?

This is happening to my Traveler as well.

If you're lucky it might be the internal Power Supply.

If not the LCD is defective.

In both cases you should get the unit repaired by the MOTU service people.

Re: Traveler LCD Flickers

It sounds like the LCD backlight is failing. I suppose it could also be a power problem. Does it make a difference if you use FireWire bus power of the DC power supply? Make sure that you put the FireWire Bus Power Enable switch in the right position. (It's on the side panel near the MIDI jacks.) I...

Traveler LCD Flickers

Hi.

The LCD Display of my Traveler interface flickers, I mean it's brightness jumps from high to low (the best I can describe it).
Sometimes it's not readable at all from my viewable angle.

Any hints?

A small nag:

In Cubase SX 3, when a project is loaded and I try to toggle Direct Monitoring on/off, SX3 crashes. I believe that it's a driver bug, everything else seem to work fine after some weeks of use.

I am sticking to XP PRO SP1 too.

What I suggested is that he could try installing the .NET Platform runtime and the Service Pack 1 for the .NET Platform runtime.

Hi. Today I assembled a PC with: i955X Chipset Intel Pentium D 930 ATIX300 PCI-E and WinXP PRO SP1. It wouldn't load the MOTU 3.5.3.2 drivers until I installed Windows .NET and Windows .NET SP1. After that it loaded just fine. Go figure... Hope it helps you out. Best regards and best of luck...

MOTU Firewire drivers VS RME HDSP drivers

Has anyone spotted any differences between the eficiency of RME vs MOTU drivers ?

On my setup, when I run a certain project, with RME Cardbus + Multiface I get ~88% CPU Utilization (Task Manager) and with MOTU Firewire I get ~93%
.

However, the MOTU is 1ms better in terms of latency @ 1024 samples.

I am having clicks with Cubase SX 3.1.1.944/ASIO but not with Sonar 5.0.1PE(ASIO+WDM).

I don't know what to blame...
