828 Mk II + Windows XP not recognizing drivers

Post by UrbanRT »

Hi,

I'm running windows XP Professional trying to get a Motu 828 MK II running for use with SFX + Audition via firewire. Having tried it on another machine with success I figure that it has something to do with Windows Signature when not installing the drivers correctly.

If any one has any advice on how I can get windows to recognize the drivers or if there is any other point of the installation (firmware, firewire updates etc...) that I need to check then pls let me know!

Thanks for the help

Hi.

Today I assembled a PC with:

i955X Chipset
Intel Pentium D 930
ATIX300 PCI-E

and WinXP PRO SP1.

It wouldn't load the MOTU 3.5.3.2 drivers until I installed Windows .NET and Windows .NET SP1.

After that it loaded just fine.

Go figure...

Hope it helps you out.

Best regards and best of luck...

I would suggest sticking to Win XP SP1. I have had a few problems with my PC and a 828mk2 and in the end it seemed to be (mostly) down to SP2.

I am sticking to XP PRO SP1 too.

What I suggested is that he could try installing the .NET Platform runtime and the Service Pack 1 for the .NET Platform runtime.
