1. I remember seeing in one of the posts to consider going to OSX prefs>Energy Saver>Options, and setting the CPU performance to optimal (in relation to CPU spikes in DP). I'm running OSX 10.4.3, and my Energy Saver>Options tab doesn't have any mention of CPU performance. There are 4 checkboxes: Under 'Wake Options' there are 'Wake when the modem detects a ring' and 'Wake for Ethernet network administrator access. Under 'Other Options', there are 'Allow power button to sleep the computer' and 'Restart automatically after a power failure'. The only other selectable items are 'Restore Defaults', 'Schedule', 'Show All' (which takes you back to the main OSX prefs window), and 'Click the lock to prevent further changes'. That's it. Any ideas?
2. In DP prefs under Automatic Conversions, there is an option called 'Convert to sequence tempo'. The middle radio button heading is 'Whenever File Tempo Doesn't Match The Sequence Tempo'. I would have thought that meant that if that button was selected, then if drag an audio loop into the tracks window, DP will automatically adjust it to fit the sequence tempo. Is that what it means? Because when I tried dragging in a different tempo audio loop, nothing happened. Not a sausage. Am I missing the bleeding obvious here? I hope that it can actually do that automatic conversion, because I'll be using it all the time.
I'll just hang here and be ready to scrape the egg off my face
